Creature — Human Shaman

Morbid — When Wakedancer enters the battlefield, if a creature died this turn, create a 2/2 black Zombie creature token. (Dying is being put into the graveyard from the battlefield. Tokens enter the graveyard before they cease to exist.)

very sweet list! you totally convinced me on Essence Warden and Wakedancer. The only remarks I have to this deck are that I would put Cast Down instead of Doom Blade, or even Feed the Swarm, which works kind of like Abrupt Decay since it also hits enchantments. Furthermore I would use Divest instead of Ostracize.

Then, I wanna suggest Sibsig Icebreakers as a little Liliana, in addition to Chainer's Edict

I was making a similar artwork list and stumbled upon yours. It's very good and I found some great additions. I'd like to suggest some other cards I've found myself:

Wakedancer, Bloodbond Vampire, Asylum Visitor, Guul Draz Vampire, Stream of Unconsciousness, Beguiler of Wills, Nin, the Pain Artist, Oriss, Samite Guardian, Cursebreak, Ruthless Cullblade and Manaforge Cinder

Thanks Kesch, all added.

I hope people google image searching this stuff. There is always a lot that just can't be appreciated in a little card.

Liliana of the Veil has some leg action going on in (what looks to me like) a wedding dress.

I would not call the Priest of Fell Rites card hot, can you see the stags crying? Heavy man.

Wakedancer is Great.

Peoyogon - Wakedancer definitely made my list, but you’re correct that I had to leave her out...for now! This is one of the few that might make me reconsider that rule. Or, at least, make a TINY exception ;p

I love the theme!

Seems like Wakedancer could find a home here! The artwork alone is really awesome! Though, I also see that you are trying to avoid using zombies so that might be a deal breaker.

I feel like this is one card away from an infinite combo. Something that says when an opponent loses life you can that much or something. But I don't think a card like that exists at common. But a suggestion for you would be Deathgreeter. The thing that I noticed though is that you have a lot of ways to gain/drain life but no way of making the creatures necessary to do that though. Something to consider would be creatures that when they enter or die makes a token. Something like Doomed Dissenter or cards with afterlife. Although the only playable creature with afterlife is Imperious Oligarch. Other creature that might be good: Doomed Traveler, Lazotep Reaver, Wakedancer, Fourth Bridge Prowler, Fume Spitter, Dusk Legion Zealot.

I would probably cut Epicure of Blood, five mana is just too much, and I would go down to at most 2 Suture Priest. I would even go as far and say cut him because you want more creatures like the ones listed above, this is because you don't really need 12 copies of that effect even if he does a bit more. The main thing this deck wants to do is play out creatures that gain u life which in turn will damage your opponent.

Cool deck but might I suggest Carrion Feeder or Viscera Seer for a more reliable sac outlet and possibly Mortician Beetle or Bloodbriar for some more value. When I goldfished a few times I would draw into a morbid creature but have no way of triggering morbid.

I found that Putrid Leech is just not that good in most situations. Face value you have a 2 mana 2/2 that each turn can become a 4/4 for a price.

4x Festerhide Boar seems like a bit much seeing as its cmc 4. I would include it as a 3 of.

Might I also suggest Cast Down or Vendetta for some more efficient removal (you will get the morbid trigger to matter if your or their creature died)

I also think that the 4x Ash Barrens is too much. Most of the time they will just slow you down. I would go to 2x ash barrens and replace them with a basic of each type.

I would also replace Wakedancer with Doomed Dissenter. Doomed also gets you the two bodies but for less mana and you will have an easier time getting full value.
