Thank you for looking at my deck. I've already amassed a hoard of cards that I intend to use in a mosquito themed deck. My intention for this deck is to keep a mosquito theme even with cards that are less than ideal in a competitive setting ie
Swamp Mosquito
,
Heartstabber Mosquito
etc.
The cards which I began making this deck with are the
Swamp Mosquito
.
Since the swamp mosquito operates using infect, I went on to acquire 4 Inkmoth Nexus.
I committed even more finances to this deck when I ordered 4 Breeding Pool (From dissension) The thinking behind using breeding pool is based on the life cycle of mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are aquatic in their larval and pupal stages.
With these 3 cards chosen as the backbone of my deck, I proceeded to grab as many blue, black and green cards with mosquito theme potential that I could find.
Many of these cards have disease themes inspired by the role mosquitoes play in the spread of pathogens: Spread the Sickness, Illness in the Ranks, Smallpox, Undercity Plague,
Bile Blight
.
Other cards were chosen for their connection to blood:
Ragged Veins
, Sign in Blood,
Blessing of Leeches
, Squelching Leeches.
A few cards were chosen for their art. The following display some variation of fog, smog or mist. The intended effect here is to portray a swarm of hungry mosquitoes:Fog,

Of course, a long list of creatures with infect are available to follow the lead set by
Swamp Mosquito
and Inkmoth Nexus. These include but are not limited to

At this point I was short on blue spells. These are potential spells which I intend to use

Fuel for the Cause
, Corrupted Resolve,
Tezzeret's Gambit
and Dispell.
There are a few cards which don't quite fit in with the categories above, but are being considered for this deck
Throne of Geth
, Blowfly Infestation, Mutagenic Growth,
Incremental Growth
and
Incremental Blight
.
Finally,
Swarm of Bloodflies
will absolutely be going into this deck.
Now......I have the task of compiling these varied cards into a suitable and hopefully worth the effort Mosquito Deck.

I've managed to whittle down my deck to 60 cards. At this point, the deck is not finalized as I have yet to test it in battle. I'll keep a list going of all the mosquito themed cards I've found in the maybe board and sideboards. In the mean time, I'm going to keep trying to make the best Mosquito deck possible.
