you could lower the price by a ton by removing the Badlands Bayou and Taiga , unless you already have those lands. they can be easily replaced by Overgrown Tomb Blood Crypt and Stomping Ground .

the medalions can be replaced by other kinds of ramp (such as Gilded Lotus ) to shave off a few more dollars.

Quicksilver Amulet can help with casting the more expensive dragons sooner, and at instant speed.

Given the nature of commander, you might want to consider a Hellkite Tyrant . there are artifacts everywhere, at the very least you will probably end up stealing a Sol Ring or Lightning Greaves that seem to be in every deck.

Show and Tell and Elvish Piper will speed you up a bit. The deck seems very slow at first. You could add in cards like Arbor Elf and Birds of Paradise to help the deck ramp. (I haven't gone through every card 1-by-one, so I may have missed some, but there are relatively few ways to cheat dragons out onto the field, so these, like the mentioned above Quicksilver Amulet will speed your deck up considerably. Vexing Shusher can make your cards more consistently hit the battlefield. I'd cut skithyrix, the blight dragon, since it's your only infect source, and a ramp card or another dragon would be more useful since it in effect deals a separate type of damage to your others. If it had 5 power, then I may run it, but at 4 base power, it needs three turns to survive and attack to be able to win. The deck looks cool, and I hope it goes well.

Show and Tell can not be used in a jund EDH deck. Arbor Elf would not be as effective as something like Manaweft Sliver as he only has 4 forests in the entire deck.

didn't see the elf problem. If there are only 4 forests, even Llanowar Elves would be better. The Show and Tell thing just shows how bad at legacy i am, i meant Sneak Attack , which is red, which CAN deal some serious damage. But yes, Manaweft Sliver or Utopia Tree would be better than Arbor Elf .

Morokai, thanks for the advice. The crazy-ass expensive lands have been removed in favor of the shocklands. I also replaced the fetch lands with basic ones. There's $300 saved. I'd ideally like $100-200 more gone, but I think if too much is taken away the deck would lose some of its core staples

I can get the medallions at a lower price than TCGPlayer lists, so I think I'll keep them in.

Quicksilver Amulet is a must and has been put in. I still can't believe I overlooked it and Elvish Piper . I'll consider Hellkite Tyrant to take those pesky recurring artifacts, which I now realize I'm not running any of. Huh. Well, sometimes its good to be different.

KingSorin, thanks for your advice too. I added Elvish Piper immediately and am thinking about Gemhide Sliver . Sneak Attack is cool and has a dragon on it, so I put it in too. Same with Vexing Shusher ; too bad there's no dragon on it. :(

As for the deck being slow, it is if I don't get an Urza's Incubator , Dragonspeaker Shaman , etc. Otherwise it works fine. But I put in Elfhame Sanctuary to help a little, and have some ramp spells in the maybeboard I'll consider.

I actually really like Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon . 4/4 hasty flying infecter for 6 mana? I find that cool. His CMC may actually be lower thanks to the spells that let my lower my dragons' CMC or Descendants' Path . Plus with cards like Door of Destinies , Coat of Arms , Beastmaster Ascension , etc., he'll be pumped up past 4 power.

Thanks again guys. Are there any thoughts from anyone about what in my maybeboard I should think harder about including?

the main issue with Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon is that unless you are buff him up, he will still need to swing at least 3-4 times ublocked to kill someone (meaning if he dies, a lot of effort may have been wasted, even though he can be regenerated.). Keep that in mind if you choose to play him.

I do think you need at least a little bit of removal, things can get quite out of hand in EDH. Also, you might want to consider a couple of tutors, such as Diabolic Tutor or Demonic Tutor to help you get your key pieces. Cream of the Crop can also work nicely for this.

Tatsumasa, the Dragon's Fang is a fun dragon related equipment if you are interested in that

O-Naginata can be a nice source of trample for all of your firebreathers as well.

I admit Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon has its flaws. But I love infect, and I'm a little wary on removing a potential alternate win condition. But if enough people oppose it, I guess I can swap it for Triumph of the Hordes .

I actually have 9 creatures and a planeswalker that can act as creature removal, including the Eldrazi, which are permanent removal. If I put in more removal spells like Terminate and Naturalize , I would prefer to have 5-8 of them for consistency's sake. That would lower Primal Surge 's effectiveness drastically. I do think that I'll throw in a Lux Cannon though, just to be on the safe side.

I think Cream of the Crop would work better than Diabolic Tutor or Demonic Tutor because it's a permanent so it wouldn't hurt Primal Surge , it can be used over and over again, and it doesn't cost $12.

Tatsumasa, the Dragon's Fang is cool, but I'm unclear whether its color identity is blue because of the blue token it produces. I don't think so, but I'm often wrong.

Because I have Primal Rage , Kessig Wolf Run , and Skarrg, the Rage Pits , I don't think O-Naginata is necessary.

Thanks again for the help! I'll update this tomorrow.

the color identity refers to the colors of the mana symbols in its cost/abilities/color indicator. Spelling out a color does not apply to the identity. The color of the token it spawns is irrelevant to the color identity of the card, which is colorless. (on the other hand, mana symbols in reminder text don't apply either. Crypt Ghast is black rather than black white because the mana symbol for extort is reminder text, not rules text.)

Thanks for the clarification! The Dragon's Fang is definitely going in now.

personally i use Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon defensively, no one likes theyre favorite beastie getting 4 -1/-1 counters on it, so i'd keep it in there :) ohh and i'd put Form of the Dragon in there just for the awesome factor XD

I know it's not in your colors, but if you want to do dragons EDH, try Scion of the Ur-Dragon as a general. Access to all cards and he pretty much tutors for dragons, sending them to the grave so you can reanimate them. Here's my build: Five-color Beatdown and Reanimator.

You might be able to get some ideas from it, or even some useful cards.

Thanks Gale7. Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon 's -1/-1 counters are cool, especially when they're boosted. Nice to see someone agree with me. :) I'm a little too conservative to run Form of the Dragon though, although it is a cool card, especially paired with Gravity Well .

Thank you too Cobthecobbler. Scion of the Ur-Dragon is the go-to dragon for five colors, but I prefer Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund for this build. From your deck, I like the look of Sylvan Library , so I replaced Cream of the Crop with it. Thanks again.

If the lateness of these thank-yous bother anyone, I'm sorry. I'm busy country-hopping Europe, but I'll be back home soon.
