Sorcery (2)

A midrange Hatebears style deck. Seeks to use Oriss, Samite Guardian + Sword of Light and Shadow to lock my opponent out of their turn. Plays a heavy helping of cards intended to mess up my opponents game-plan while assembling the pieces, and strip then of their ability to play around the Oriss lock.

Grand Abolisher + Oriss, Samite Guardian : This combo out of the side is for counterspell and high instant count decks. They have some resistance to the Oriss lock since they still have my whole turn to cast spells. The abolisher limits them to playing spells during their upkeep.

Corpse Churn : Gets back used copies of Oriss, or digs for Orisses or Trafts. It's not hampered by Spirit of the Labyrinth's limit, and acts like a more expensive, but more powerful Thought Scour in this deck.

Updates Add

-3 Giest of Saint Traft , +3 Thopter Foundry

-2 Thalia, Heretic Cathar, -1 Corpse Churn, +3 Sword of the Meek. I've been meaning to try the Thopter/Sword engine out for a while. Giest is a fine clock, and I may revert to him, but the evasion from the thopters seems a better pair for Light and Shadow, giving my clock better synergy with the lockdown plan.

-2 Blackmail, -1 Path to Exile, +3 Fatal Push. Bringing in the new removal hotness. I expect that I want a 3/2 split between Path and Push. I'm starting Push as the 3, and we'll see if the mana can support it.

-1 Plains, +1 Concealed Courtyard. I've been thinking about another black source, and Fatal Push put it to need.

Sideboard: -2 Kataki, War's Wage, +2 Gideon, Ally of Zendikar. I've found Kataki to be rather underwhelming here, and that I'd rather shift spots from Affinity answers to some cards for fair matches with Jund/Abzan. Gideon should help apply a lot of pressure while dodging a lot of their removal.

-1 Wall of Omens, +1 Path to Exile. Still want 4 path between main and side.
