Hovermyr Discussion

Hey! I like the idea of the deck and your introduction.

If the point of the deck is making colorless creatures unblockable (except by artifact creatures) to enable ninjustsu, wouldn't you need some cheap eldrazis or artifact creatures to spend as little mana as possible each time and start producing value earlier? Maybe with some kind of evasion of their own just in case.
These creatures could do the job: Eldrazi Skyspawner, Bearer of Silence, Dimensional Infiltrator, Fathom Feeder, Hovermyr, Gust-Skimmer, Mist Intruder, Slaughter Drone, Ferropede, Mindmelter, Pilgrim's Eye.

What's the plan to make the ninjas unblockables the turns after they ninjaed onto the battlefield? Other than Deepfathom Skulker there is nothing else to help them. Key to the City, Whispersilk Cloak or Thassa, God of the Sea are good options for that task.

The costs of the deck are quite high, I'd advise more mana rocks/dorks that add two or more mana to help you reach those costs Worn Powerstone, Palladium Myr, Hedron Archive, Gilded Lotus or Pyramid of the Pantheon and the Temple of the False God.

I like it. +1. There's a lot of lifegain here, so maybe exploiting that more could make the deck more formidable. I'd say Thalia's Lieutenant is the creature that sticks out to me - it doesn't offer an abilities to Odric. I think I would leave Mentor of the Meek out in favor of Tezzeret's Gambit+Thalia's Lieutenant. Just MHO. Some stuff to consider:

Lands: Mortuary Mire, Bojuka Bog, Windbrisk Heights, Sejiri Steppe, Kabira Crossroads, Buried Ruin.

Artifacts: Chalice of Life  Flip, Elixir of Immortality(SB), Pithing Needle(SB)

Sorcery: Immortal Servitude, Tezzeret's Gambit

Instant: Geth's Verdict, Celestial Flare, Condemn

Enchantment: Sanguine Bond, Oppressive Rays, Oblivion Ring

Creatures: Kazandu Blademaster, Hovermyr, Adanto Vanguard, Gifted Aetherborn

maybe add a Mox Opal if it is in your budget, Hovermyr might be good to add some flying. since you have many artifacts, Darksteel Juggernaut would be a perfect mid/late game card for the deck. maybe add some artifacts like Loxodon Warhammer. If this helped could you please upvote one of my decks?

Would rather just remove the creature than Armament of Nyx

Terramorphic Expanse and Evolving Wilds are good for landfall but not here

There are better lands than guildgates that are still cheap (like life lands)

Suggested lands Azorius Chancery, Glacial Fortress, Simic Growth Chamber, Hinterland Harbor, Prairie Stream, Canopy Vista, Port Town, Fortified Village, Sungrass Prairie, Skycloud Expanse

Utility Lands: Gavony Township, Moorland Haunt, Faerie Conclave, Bant PanoramaDuelist's Heritage > Fireshrieker

Creature Buff: Wilt-Leaf Liege, Always Watching , Gaea's Anthem

Leonin Sun Standard is ok, but I'm not a huge fan.

Mask of Memory > Rogue's Gloves

Removal: Bant Charm Treva's CharmArmy of Allah is meh. Misthollow Griffin is too costly. Hovermyr won't block too much with 2 toughness, so vigilance isn't too great, making 2 mana cost, too much. Aven Sunstriker cost too much for its power.

Other: Finest Hour, Angus Mackenzie, Flurry of Wings Sunscape Familiar, Grand Arbiter Augustin IV, Deepfathom Skulker, Gravitational Shift, Windreader Sphinx, Archon of Redemption, Skyblinder Staff

In memory of DnD Characters: Ragnar

DemonDragonJ, Seacoast Drake gains your opponent more life when they play Tribute to Hunger. Hovermyr can't be pitched to Force of Will. Storm Crow is strictly better.

KingTorg1, both Seacoast Drake and Hovermyr are superior to Storm Crow, so I believe that it would be better to reprint either of those cards, instead.

Even with a high number of mana rocks in your deck and relatively low curve, i would aim for around 35-36 lands at minimum for your deck. Let me add to your problem by first suggesting Clever Impersonator and Phyrexian Metamorph(you have Sculpting Steel already but its nice to have some redundency.). If you can make one of them a copy of Myr Galvanizer. If you can produce atleast 2 mana from your myrs, you know have infinite mana. If some of the mana you produce from this is blue you can then pay however much you need to cast memnarch from command zone and use the rest to take control of all permanents in play (including lands). Even if you can't assemble the combo, they are both good cards to have in the deck. There's also a super convoluted way of using one of them and cards you have in the deck to create infinite blue mana or infinite counters on Door of Destinies or draw infinite cards but due to needing atleast 7 cards (6 if you're just getting mana) it seems rather unlikely. (just realized you can already do it with cards in your deck if you use sculpting steel).

For either combo if you wanted to go that route with infinite mana you could theoretically cast Blue Sun's Zenith on yourself for your entire library, cast everything in your deck and use Planar Bridge/ Clock of Omens to tutor for blue sun again and again to kill everyone by making them draw infinite cards. That being said stealing all their permenants is probably good enugh anyways.

Anywho....here's what I think you can cut.

Myr Propagator: slow and vulnerable and mana efficient. It's cute that you can use the ability when its in the graveyard to make a copy of Myr Welder but that's the only reason i'd see keeping it in the deck and i'm not sure if that's worth it.

Myr Mindservant: it's a myr but that's about all that it has going for it. Without interactions like Brainstorm a repeated shuffle effect doesn't help much.

Thought Vessel with a lot of ramp already and without excessive card draw, i think this slot is better off being a land

Pristine Talisman: your other mana rocks are better. like with thoughtvessel it only accelates you by 1 mana

Myr Enforcer: not the greatest. A 4/4 with no abilities gets classed quickly

Perilous Myr again not the greatest myr

Cranial Plating: good card but it's not legal in your deck due to the black mana symbols. While not the worst card in the cycle, the blue one (Neurok Stealthsuit) isn't as good as plating.

Hovermyr You don't have much in the way of flyers but i'm not a huge fan of this one. You might just need to steal some

Forbid: suggesting this as a cut is questionable as it is definitely a strong card, but i couldnt see anything that seemed like it could be cut

Blinkmoth Urn: Ditto but i might try to keep it.
