Zimone's Face-down Surprise

Commander / EDH GU (Simic)

GrandAlchemistX

Target cards to cheat in: Pendant of Prosperity, Dark Depths, Sandwurm Convergence, Wormfang Manta (if you turn it face up, bounce it, and put it in play face-down every turn, it's infinite turns).

Hedge Shredder snags lands that get thrown away from Manifesting Dread. Gaea's Blessing is there to shuffle the graveyard in off Manifest Dread. The shuffle titans would be great in this deck instead, but I don't have either.

Deadeye Navigator or bounce cards can reset Zimone for additional opportunities to manifest dread.

Brine Elemental can shut down untap steps indefinitely with bounce or Vesuvan Shapeshifter.

Ixidron can turn off problem creatures and reset morphs. With all the bounce effects in this deck it's easy to get Zimone back in hand and recast.

Temur War Shaman and Deathmist Raptor put in mad work.

Retreat to Coralhelm, any bounceland, and any creature that taps to put a land from your hand into play can generate infinite landfall triggers.

Scroll of Fate and Vannifar help cheat the big stuff into play. Scroll Rack can get those cards on top of your library from your hand so Zimone can cheat them in.

This list mainly wins through attrition and control, frustrating other players to death. Usually the Brine Elemental lock, repeated use of Chromeshell Crab, and/or counterspell morphs is enough for draw concessions. There are legitimate wincons via Dark Depths, Ixidron, and Sandwurm Convergence.

This deck used to run Frozen Aether, Confusing Conundrum, and Storm Cauldron, which I highly recommend. My playgroup and people at the LGS got frustrated by them too easily.
