Blood Funnel is a very tricky card, one probably not worth the effort. But taken as a challenge, we can probably make something kind of neat out of it. The main issue I can foresee is having enough creatures to sacrifice and a worthwhile number of noncreature spells for the Funnel to make cheaper. Sounds like a self-defeating scenario, but there is one little trick to work around it.

A healthy number of the best token generators have a pesky in their cost! Imagine casting Promise of Bunrei or Lingering Souls for a measly . Sorin, Lord of Innistrad makes the board shake when he drops for . Token generators give you plenty of fodder to feed to the Funnel while also being made cheaper by the critters made from your prior spells. You'll quickly grow a deadly army when they come so cheaply!

Doomed Traveler and Nether Traitor help you fuel your first couple spells under Blood Funnel, and the unassuming Mortician Beetle can grow to game-winning proportions while you're playing your spells. The other nasty trick to pull with the Funnel is responding to the fact that it counters your spells if you don't sacrifice a creature. Play a spell that can't be countered and you can flout any supposed drawbacks! Sacrifice a creature or not, Urza's Rage is a strictly-better Lightning Bolt once the Funnel's out.
