Arachnophobia, Webs of Fear (Shelob)

I'm really glad to see your interest, and I'm happy to share my experiences and ideas here. The deck works quite well overall, so making major changes is difficult. After our last test night, I made a few adjustments and added some new cards. However, I couldn’t include everything—mostly because I honestly don’t know what to cut yet. I’ll need to play a few more games against different opponents to better identify underperforming cards.
To start, I swapped out Sentinel Spider for Skysnare Spider. Both are dear to me, but Skysnare offers better overall value. I also added Deathsprout—more removal improves defense, and fetching an extra land boosts mana ramp for my bigger spiders.
With a heavy heart, I removed Arachnus Spinner and Arachnus Web. They're fantastic for flavor, but the Web isn’t very effective, and together they take up two valuable slots.
I’ve also expanded Vraska’s influence in the deck—she now takes a place on the battlefield herself. Vraska, the Silencer brings deathtouch, shrinks the opponent’s graveyard, and generates treasures to help with ramp. As for Vraska and the slight snake theme in the deck—although I was hesitant at first, I’ve grown to like it. I can easily imagine Vraska or even Saryth working alongside spiders.
Flavor-wise, the next card might be pushing it a bit, but mechanically Greta, Sweettooth Scourge fits the deck very well. She interacts nicely with Food tokens, improves card draw, and buffs spiders.
Lastly, I added Revitalizing Repast Flip. I couldn’t resist such a solid card—it protects Shelob or other key creatures, provides a buff, and can even support ramp.
To make room, I cut Aquastrand Spider and Scavenging Ooze. The Ooze is strong, but off-theme and not essential here.
As the final touch, I included The Swarmweaver. More tokens and spider buffs are always welcome. I removed Wilt in its place—a good card, but situational, even if it can replace itself.
In the waiting album I’ve got Broodspinner, Nyx Weaver, Graverobber Spider, Attendant of Vraska, Vraska's Fall, Back for More, You Look Upon the Tarrasque, Cairn Wanderer, and Graveshifter. Time will tell if any of them will find a home in the nest.

So Many Spiders

Some spider suggestions:
Llanowar Greenwidow, Oran-Rief Recluse, Glowstone Recluse, Sentinel Spider, Sweet-Gum Recluse, Hatchery Spider, Doom Weaver, Obelisk Spider, Rotwidow Pack
Spider-Support: Curse of Clinging Webs, Eaten by Spiders, Hidden Spider, Spider Umbra, Webspinner Cuff
Bramble Sovereign could produce Spider Copy-tokens on etb. If you plan playing 3 colours… Thantis, the Warweaver?
And… what about Lolth, Spider Queen?
Edit: with 3.3 cmc, you have a pretty low landcount. I would cut some non-creature-spells

I recommend Penumbra Spider over Sentinel Spider for resilience

Thanks! Oh there is really good suggestions for that deck. I think im going to look forward with Metallic Mimic Gaea's Anthem Cryptolith Rite and Swarmyard
My idea with Skysnare Spider and Sentinel Spider is on power. Those are powerful creatures to keep attackers away but I think Kessig Recluses keep them away better because deathtouch. Like those cheap Deadly Recluse is worked fine.

I think there are a few cards to reconsider. For example, Raking Canopy and Needle Storm are cards that damage flying creatures. Either you know that you're facing a deck full of aggressive fliers, or these cards could sit quite dead in your hand. On top of that, every spider has reach, so you can block flying creatures. Instead of Raking Canopy you could consider Gaea's Anthem to buff up your creatures and have a bigger chance of surviving a block against both fliers and non-fliers.
I would probably cut the Skysnare Spiders because their cost is the same as that of Arachnus Spinner except the spinner has higher toughness and a free tap the spider for a free enchantment effect. The second Skysnare Spider and maybe even the Sentinel Spider could be switched out for more Kessig Recluses. The vigilance is nice to have of course, but it is up to you to decide whether it trumps the deathtouch.
Consider also Cryptolith Rite if you want to get more mana out of your creatures, this can also help get you to pay the cost for Ishkanah, Grafwidow's burn effect if you either have too little lands or lack a source of black.
One particular land that I find very satisfying to combine with Watcher in the Web is Swarmyard to just block 8 creatures and regenerate your blocker for free.

Never enter the spider web

I've always wanted to try making a deck like this. Let's see if I can help. I'd start by recognizing that regular spiders aren't actually that powerful, so unless they are cheap and efficient or provide high impact and synergy, they should probably be cut for others that do. Sporecap Spider and Hitchclaw Recluse, for example don't have as much presence as Deadly Recluse or Sentinel Spider even if you take Assault Formation (a neat inclusion by the way) into account. I think the cards that will work best towards winning the game are those that maximize spider number like Spider Spawning and Ishkanah, Grafwidow, so I'd increase the numbers of those cards. To get maximum synergy out of both cards, you want to build around getting cards in the graveyard. One great inclusion is Nyx Weaver since it fills the grave and adds a spider to the board. Other potential options are Satyr Wayfinder to find the right lands, Splinterfright and Grim Flayer as beaters, and Treasured Find to get back whatever you need. There's plenty of other options in Golgari if you want to go that route. Some other cards that could probably be removed are Tower Defense since it is too dependent on Assault Formation to be good and Ring of Kalonia since it wouldn't be that strong even if all your creatures were green. If you need an artifact to activate delirium, you could try artifacts that work with tribal like Adaptive Automaton and Obelisk of Urd. Also working towards delirium, you might want some fetchlands, even if they're just Evolving Wilds to get land in the graveyard. I'd probably cut Oran-Rief, the Vastwood for them since it really isn't contributing that much here. A final thing I might consider would be dropping the Arachnus Spinner + Arachnus Web combo. With so many tokens and defensive creatures, mediocre creature removal doesn't seem as necessary. Adding ways to deal with artifacts, enchantments, and other threats would probably be a good call. At the very least, cards like Bramblecrush for example should be sideboarded just in case. I just wanted to say, really good call on Descendants' Path. That's inspiring me to try my hand at a spider deck again, only in legacy instead so I can mess with Arachnogenesis.

Have you considered some threshold creatures like Werebear in place of something like Rumbling Baloth or Sentinel Spider? They would act like Tarmogoyf in a lot of ways.

Okay, cool. One less card I should get.

Okay, so on the >4CMC creatures:
Sentinel Spider has been dropped in favor of Spectral Procession as they both deal with flying creatures, a weak spot in my deck.
I could stomach dropping Ant Queen as she isn't used for token generation most of the time I play her, but Hornet Queen has won me some games, and I'm not sure what would replace her, as she's five creatures in one.
