Reanimator: Tomb Raider

This deck aims to stall out the opponent, and cast spells from the graveyard, finishing the game with one big swing.

It is also different to other Ever After decks that have been making the rounds, because it doesn't rely on a lucky mill from Mindwrack Demon, Gather the Pack, Vessel of Nascency and then hopefully drawing Ever After. This deck relies on filtering cards to set up the perfect one round combination, and is better at stalling out the opponent.

Ever After

Ever After is the keystone to this deck. It brings back creatures from the graveyard for a relatively low mana cost. This card allows the player to have creatures worth fifteen mana or more out by turn six.

Control, Disruption, Protection

Staple black control spells. Not much to say about them. More in the Sideboard.

Protect the creatures

• Dark Dabbling By the time this card becomes important, the added card draw is very beneficial
• Unnatural Endurance Cheap combat trick that fits the theme

Card Selection and Filtering

Pitch the big creatures into the graveyard, where they belong and draw something else. Cast spells a second time from the graveyard.

• Mad Prophet: Filter cards, block early creatures
• Tormenting Voice: Filter cards
• Magmatic Insight: Filter cards, recover from land flooding
• Goblin Dark-Dwellers: Cast spells from graveyard, two-for-one, allowing the deck to play lower number of control spells, because they can be cast twice

The Big Guys

• Gaea's Revenge: Hits hard, might as well be hexproof, has haste
• Void Winnower: Hits hard, disables some removal spells (e.g. Declaration in Stone, Ultimate Price)
• Breaker of Armies: All other creatures go unblocked and it kills opponent's creatures
• Foe-Razer Regent: Take out a smaller blocker, get two +1/+1 counters for it, has flying
• Surrak, the Hunt Caller: The other creature that was fetched by Ever After now has haste, even better if cast a turn before Ever After
• Mindwrack Demon: Being able to cast spells from the graveyard makes his drawback bearable - Use with caution: A missed Delirium can turn the game very quickly
