Ron Spencer is possibly my favorite (at least top 3) illustrator for MTG cards. So this deck is homage to him and his work. He has illustrated over 200 cards and honestly MOST of them are pretty bad.

I could've chosen Sliver Queen as the commander and would have to choose from all those cards but I was a disappointed finding out he has only drawn Swamps. Vhati il-Dal is the only other Legendary creature he has done and would be easier to build from 110ish cards. I was also more motivated to go Black/Green because he has drawn two Swamps which I can "proxy" half of them to be Forests.

Order of the Ebon Hand art is hard to show on here due to "format/coding" limitations.

EDIT: My friends kept making fun of me because they apparently can't tell the difference between two Swamp arts. So now I actually am using Terese Nielsen's Forest because Terese is Ron's sister... Sorry I can't afford 17 GURU's...
