+1 for Gargoyle Tribal!

Just a thought,

Shrieking Grotesque. Since Darklit Gargoyle has a activated ability that you may use, you could benefit from a little hand disruption, too. If you dipped into Black, that gives you access to Duress, Inquisition of Kozilek and Blackmail as well as Utter End and Terminate. Thoughtseize if your budget allows.

Since you have players revealing their hands, Voidstone Gargoyle to keep certain cards from being used, and maybe Sanctum Gargoyle for all the Artifacts in your deck.

For , I would replace the Warden of the Wall with Darksteel Ingot, and Needle Spires with Shambling Vent. All of the Darksteel in your deck, maybe a Darksteel Gargoyle and some board wipe effects.

Tyrant-Thanatos on Pattern Recognition #30 - Regeneration

@TheRedGoat

Debt of Loyalty has specifically been errata'd to read "You gain control of that creature if it regenerates this way this turn." because of this. Frankly it was just worded poorly in the first place.

And I agree with GobboE. My biggest fear with the gradual phasing out of Regeneration is simply that Indestructible is magnitudes more powerful, and I seriously doubt we'll see it thrown around as haphazardly as Regeneration can be. Cards like Dutiful Thrull would fall entirely out of design space if it was just passively indestructible. Even if it read "B: Dutiful Thrull is indestructible until end of turn." it would still be more powerful than Regeneration. It wouldn't have to tap, it wouldn't be susceptible to additional kills in the same turn, and it wouldn't be removed from combat.

The whole point of Regeneration's mechanics was to balance out the creature's resilience, and I thought it did a good job at it. If that goes out the window, they have to find other ways to "balance out" indestructible, and we'll get more stuff like Darksteel Gargoyle, where the "balancing factor" is a prohibitive mana cost that makes the card unusable.

Calliber on Blockers and defences that don't …

For blockers, try AEther Membrane for an early game strong defender with bounce deterrent. Darksteel Gargoyle if you have the mana, or Darksteel Myr for a good 3-drop non-threat.

Mmm... It's really a tough choice, but I would say throw in That Which Was Taken, Myojin of Cleansing Fire, and Myojin of Night's Reach while removing Deathbringer Regent, Darksteel Gargoyle, and Obzedat's Aid. While good, Aid is too expensive for what it does imo. Gargoyle is too expensive, and Deathbringer you can replace with Myojin of Cleansing Fire.

i think more indestructibility couldn't hurt. thus Heliod, God of the Sun | Darksteel Myr | Darksteel Gargoyle | Darksteel Mutation have some potential. because playing a 2CMC darksteel mutation while your commander is online is 2 mana to give all your creatures, including commander, indestructible.
also i would consider Spear of Heliod instead of crusade.

Oh, almost forgot. You can also use Darksteel Sentinel or Darksteel Gargoyle to give indestructible and either vigilance or flying.
