Bronzehide Lion

Creature — Cat

: Bronzehide Lion gains indestructible until end of turn.

When Bronzehide Lion dies (is put into the graveyard from the battlefield), return it to the battlefield. It's an Aura enchantment with enchant creature you control and "[[symbol:G]: Enchanted creature gains indestructible until end of turn," and loses all other abilities.

MrHawtStuff,

You have lots of cat lords, Feline Sovereign, Kaheera, the Orphanguard, King of the Pride, etc. as well it works with self-modifiers like Loam Lion and Qasali Pridemage the new cat Sovereign Okinec Ahau can permanently +1/+1 counter your cats. Notably missing (in your maybeboard) Regal Caracal would give everyone lifelink too.

Glittering Lynx seems off, the isn't that disruptive for an opponent if it matters. I think you're trying to maximize your MV 1-drop cats, but Arcbound Mouser would give you a second Trained Caracal with upside instead. Lion Sash is also nice, but it is MV 2-drop.

The other new cat would be good: Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar, he could replace something like a vanilla Leonin Skyhunter or a mana sync like Bronzehide Lion or a really high cmc creature with low value like Jareth, Leonine Titan who probably is a win-more at MV6 that won't turn a loss into a win, really he MV7 to activate. Card in that MV slot has to be extremely impactful. Cats like Scrounging Bandar also work well with this new cat. Limiting interaction on your turn especially flashing in +3 spells (Indomitable Might) is really nice.

Leonin Relic-Warder is nice for controlling artifacts/enchantments and providing another MV2 cat.

Everybody Lives! gives another Heroic Intervention type effect.

Farseek is MV2 but I'm betting Harvest Season probably does more work at MV3. 35 lands seems like a lot for a low curve, maybe some low MV ramp like Talisman of Unity. Boseiju, Who Endures is a good forest but it's stupid expensive.

Rancor is a really nice trample/evasion enabler. Or like a Shadowspear or something which also helps out with Indestructibles blocking your cats. Pridemalkin is on a cat body, but don't like the MV3.

Mirri's Guile is okay, but a bit of a trap, way more value at MV2 with Sylvan Library

Song of the Dryads I get for locking out a commander but some instant interaction like Stroke of Midnight are usually more utility in more situations, might be a meta card though.

Eladamri's Call will bring up consistency to draw the finisher cats.

Cheers

Making those last 10 or so cuts are always the worst XD

Starfield of Nyx is tricky. The recursion is powerful, but turning your enchants into creatures makes them extra vulnerable to enemy removal. I am used to working around it in my enchantment deck, but I have also accidentally blown up all my own lands with it, so there's that...

Awakening Zone doesn't make enchantments, and colorless mana isn't that helpful in this deck, I feel. The problem will be all the colors.

Bronzehide Lion needing to die, then need mana to activate makes it a weak link to me...

Most of the other cuts I'd make are further personal preference and are a concession to not playing the deck...so don't feel strange about testing it out even with a few extra cards (play group willing) to get a real feel of what cards don't perform well.

Misconception on Rin and Seri Tribal

I really struggled to incorporate Red into my own Rin & Seri deck so I like the turn you took on this commander.

While I tried to keep my deck very flavourful, one of the changelings I DID include is Realmwalker since the card advantage is really nice.

Keen Sense also works really well with this commander as it triggers with any damage, not just combat damage.

One of the cards I'm always happy to draw is Prowling Serpopard not only because the art gives me the fuzzies but also because of the protection it grants.

When a commander is crucial to the deck strat I like to include Command Beacon in case it gets too expensive to cast otherwise.

Personally, I really like Akroma's Will as an additional finisher or if needed protection.

If you want some general suggestions for good Bois and Grls please have some of my faves: Bronzehide Lion Loyal Warhound Trusty Retriever Marisi, Breaker of the Coil

Glad to see Rin & Seri still getting some Love :)

Nice deck (+1) have you considered Bronzehide Lion as maybe a one of. It's got decent stats for early game and can get really obnoxious late game. Realmwalker feels like it could be a good fit here too for a bit of top deck manipulation. Hope this helps.

I'm currently searching for a nice cat-tribe-build and saw your deck. Nice Start :)

But 18 Creatures is way too lees. Also i don't think Sigarda's Aid pushes your gameplan that much forward as you have about a dozen equipment-cards. In this sense you have more creatures which would participate from Vanquisher's Banner / Icon of Ancestry in common than with Sigarda's Aid .

I also would recommend my favourite card Return of the Wildspeaker for it's versatility (and especially the hard needed carddraw) and Guardian Project .

To get a bigger Battalion i would recommend at least the following creatures:

Bronzehide Lion - Hard to remove and comes back to make something other hard to remove

Fleecemane Lion - once it's monstrous it is a real threat

Feline Sovereign - pump-effect for all cats with a bonus if one of your cats lands a hit

Phantom Nishoba - nice finisher, hard to kill

Basri's Acolyte - support for the other Kitties

Qasali Pridemage - All Star who pumps a single attacker; nice side-effect

Hi,

Nice to see a cat tribal Nethroi deck!

I've played Arahbo, Roar of the World a lot, a when Ikoria was released, I pondered to make an abzan cat tribal with Nethroi. But I ended building it normal graveyard synergy as I wantet to keep my classic Arahbo constructed.

Anyway, I know the flavor is that all your cats are legendary, an I love that, but I think if you want to play the deck more efficient without losing cat theme, you can do some changes:

Falthis, Shadowcat Familiar in this particular deck is only a 2/2 vanilla, as your only commander Nethroi already has deathtouch. I love it, but in this particular case sadly doesn't do anything.

Cards you could add, knowing that aren't legendary, but they are cats that work very well with your deck:

Fleecemane Lion can became indestructible, and then you can mutate your commander on it, making a great indestructible menace and keeping that +1/+1 counter.
Fleetfoot Panther and Whitemane Lion can save one of your cats or can bounce your commander to keep doing his mutation and reanimating things. Bronzehide Lion also protects your creatures.
Qasali Pridemage you play it, control your opponent best artifacts or enchantments, dies and Nethroi will recover it later.
Necropanther to reanimate small cats or creatures, and can mutateo over your commander to repeat effects.
Feline Sovereign and Regal Caracal , if you go tribal, those are the best cats lords, in addition to Kaheera of course.
Rakshasa Debaser can be a wincon when you encore him.
Alms Collector for card draw and to control greedy card draws of enemies.
Phantom Nishoba and Phantom Tiger look scrapy, but they count 0 power when you reanimate them with Nethroi, and if you mutate Nethroi on them, you transform Nethroi into a crature that prevent all the damage that receibes, even if he loses all +1/+1 counters.

And playing something like Nethroi, believe me (I'm a Nethroi and a golgari player), you need graveyard synergy. If you don't, you'll find that you reached turn X, play Nethroi but you only can revive 1-2 sad creatures. You need to fill your graveyard before that.
Exmaples (of course there are much more):
Grisly Salvage
Satyr Wayfinder
Mulch
Buried Alive
Jarad's Orders
Entomb
Altar of Dementia
Life from the Loam

And last:
Eerie Ultimatum and Living Death you'll have much fun with those in this type of deck.

Hope that give you some ideas to improve the deck without changing its spirit.

Raining Cats and Dogs Nice work bdodds, I think you have selected a handful of great cards but I'd think you could benefit from an earlier CatDog play and cheaper creatures to really start raining cats and dogs. Even without Aluren, every creature coming in with an extra token produces insane value. Especially considering your general's ability.

Below, I would like to outline 4 core concepts and considerations. Ramp, Creatures, Protection, Draw.

Ramp - Prioritizing cards that help you play Rin & Seri turn 3! Nature's Lore Rampant Growth Three Visits Boros Signet Selesnya Signet Gruul Signet Talisman of Conviction Talisman of Unity Talisman of Impulse Fellwar Stone This should be easy to replace the ramp packaging you already have. Look to cut cards like Explosive Vegetation, Chromatic Lantern, Obelisk of Naya, etc.

Creatures - Prioritizing 3CMC or less and upping your creature count to closer to 30! Think about adding creatures that fullfill multiple roles and allow you to run less other stuff. Qasali Pridemage is a great example cause it can pump a swinger +1/+1 as well as remove a pesky enchant or artifact.

Cheap Utility Kitties- Adorned Pouncer Brimaz, King of Oreskos Bronzehide Lion Initiate's Companion King of the Pride Leonin Relic-Warder Oreskos Explorer Pride Sovereign Qasali Ambusher I like the returners you have for multiple cast triggers too! Can get stupid with Aluren... Whitemane Lion Temur Sabertooth Fleetfoot Panther ? Snow Hound

Cheap Utility Doggos- Abzan Beastmaster Ainok Guide Bolt Hound Resolute Watchdog Selfless Savior

Some real cheap beefers could be nice considering they make a token, but could also see not making the cut- Wild Nacatl Loam Lion Leonin Vanguard Isamaru, Hound of Konda Sacred Cat

Protection/Return - Build a huge board and keep it protected! Unbreakable Formation Rootborn Defenses Heroic Intervention Teferi's Protection Asceticism Marshal's Anthem Kindred Boon Akroma's Will Flawless Maneuver

Draw(ish) - The cheaper the cards in hand the more you gonna empty and wanna draw! Skullclamp Colossal Majesty Elemental Bond Beast Whisperer Fecundity Garruk's Uprising Descendants' Path Realmwalker Hunter's Insight Snake Umbra Lifecrafter's Bestiary Mentor of the Meek Guardian Project Return of the Wildspeaker Shamanic Revelation Slate of Ancestry Collective Unconscious Camaraderie

General good cards for Cat/Dog: Maskwood Nexus Mirror Entity Crib Swap Felidar Retreat Basilisk Collar Thousand-Year Elixir Rings of Brighthearth Seht's Tiger Shields of Velis Vel Naya Charm Kindred Summons Volatile Claws Beastmaster Ascension Titanic Ultimatum Hour of Reckoning Triumph of the Hordes Finale of Devastation Idyllic Tutor Winds of Abandon Lightning Greaves (secret lair dog art!) Coat of Arms Swiftfoot Boots Impact Tremors Rhythm of the Wild Aura Shards Shared Animosity Mirari's Wake Growing Rites of Itlimoc  Flip Any Cheap Changelings really...
