Disclaimer

This is not for competitive play but for my playgroup's meta. I can state the obvious: This deck dies and will forever die to graveyard control and enchantment hate + doesn't match up well against hex proof

Card explanation and synergies

• Retribution of the Ancients (RotA) will kill opponent threats and keep your undying creatures... uhm undying. This is the card that glues every part of this deck together. There are four copies in the deck - even though you won't benefit from more than one on the field - as the deck is very mediocre or worse without it. With a sac outlet (Vampiric Rites + Viscera Seer ) this is spammable and really fun for you and frustrating for your opponents.

• Geralf's Messenger + Young Wolf + Strangleroot Geist + Vorapede + Demonlord of Ashmouth are your undieyers so there are plenty. Potentially more with Mikaeus, the Unhallowed

• Blood Artists will chip damage your opponents and likewise heal oneself when either kamikazeing the undying or saccing them off. Bonus damage from Geralf's Messenger, unconventional but likely win con with Retribution of the Ancients on the bf.

• Protean Hydra is hilarious in this deck. It basically needs to be sent in with at least 2 counters (or 1 and a - eg. - Spider Umbra) and then he will cause immense trouble for the opposition quickly allowing you to kill close to any non-hexproof creature and stomping players with RotA

• Demonlord of Ashmouth is a great card and its drawback doesn't hurt that much the way this deck is build.

• Mikaeus, the Unhallowed is just an awesome card and a win con in a longer game.

• Damnation there could be 2-4 of these but $$$

• Hardened Scales = extra damage after undying or extra -1/-1 from RotA.
