@kamarupa I think I looked at HP during the build but decided to go when I found Naban, Dean of Iteration that does pretty much the same thing. HP is the better card (and it would also stack with Naban which would be awesome), but I’d have to run the numbers and reconfigure the mana base and I’d rather not try to fix what isn’t broke. I’ll maybeboard it in case someone wants to change/improve this list and figures out a better way to run it. Thanks, as always!

Bracket 4 decks, in my experience, fall into three categories.
- Regular EDH decks.
- Weak CEDH decks.
- Stax decks. This requires a bit of elaboration: WotC has been speeding up the format such that Stax decks can no longer compete in CEDH, but a lot of Stax pieces are game changers or mana denial cards, so Bracket 4 jail it is.
Bracket 4 is its own meta, different from CEDH. CEDH, you need answers for everything; I'd even argue that as long as Thassa's Oracle is legal, non-blue commanders are not competitive. I'd argue CEDH should exist as its own format, or at least have its own banlist.

4 Maindeck Raze is so mean, I love it. I only wonder if there is some tensions between the land sac needed for Raze plus Fireblast and Lava Dart as well? Maybe it's fine idk. I also think you have potential better options for the Electrickery slot such as End the Festivities, Cast into the Fire, or Barrage of Boulders!

In the meantime, here are some helpful deck-building resources that are great to familiarize yourself with:

EDHREC it's an aggregate database for Commander recommendations. Each commander has a dedicated page with various filters for budgets and archetypes. You can also see what an "average" deck list looks like for them.

Scryfall - A database for MtG cards. I linked the Advanced Search filters page. Super helpful to search for specific text phrases and narrow searches by a variety of criteria.

The Command Zone - A YouTube channel/podcast covering gameplay & general EDH discussions. The linked video is specifically an upgrade guide for the Auntie Ool precon.
I hope these are helpful starting points, but I'd say these are all resources that players utilize more commonly for brewing these days.

Hello! I’m a returning player trying to work on a few Commander decks.
I haven’t really played much since M13, and I’d like some help tuning and updating what I have, along with some ideas on new decks.
Right now I have two decks that are already somewhat built and could use advice on card choices, cuts, and upgrades: • Auntie Ool, Jund Blight curses: Blue black deck box
• Giada, Font of Hope white Angel lifegain: Blue white deck box
I’m also thinking about building one of these, preferably using as many cards I already own as possible: • Disa the Restless (Jund graveyard) • Krenko, Mob Boss (red Goblin swarm) • Ezuri/Ezra-style green Elfball commander
What I’m looking for: • Card recommendations or swaps for the Auntie Ool and Giada decks • Suggestions for which of the Jund graveyard / Goblin swarm / Elfball options best fits my current collection • Any other commander suggestions that might line up well with the cards I already own
I’d like to stay around $200 total for new cards, including any commanders I’m missing.

Good question, the base creature would be a Roil Elemental. Copy effects also create new copiable characteristics for other copy effects to read from. The simple example I like to use is if a Clone copies Runeclaw Bear, then another copy of that Bear-Clone will also be a plain old Bear.

I had forgotten that I posted this list. I updated the description in hopes of clarifying. I also added more enchantments. This is a nice change. If the eldrazi flip an enchantement early, it helps reduce the chance of the eldrazi steamrolling the players by turn 5 while still being threatening later, and the players have more incentive to attack if possible.

Okay that makes perfect sense. Follow up question. If I have a Roil Elemental as a moon land, but that creature was originally a Clever Impersonator, would a Vesuva enter as the Roil or impersonator? I think based on my understanding it would be the Roil Elemental.

It's a Moon version of whatever you chose to copy as it entered. If you chose Moon-Yue again, that means it's another legendary land named Moon, so the Legend Rule will apply and you can only keep one of them.
In the layer system that determines an object's characteristics, the results of copy effects are applied very early in the order and text-changing, type-changing and ability adding/removing effects are applied later in the order. When you go through the steps of determining Vesuva's characteristics in your example, you start with Vesuva, layer on the results of its copy effect (here, becoming Princess Yue), then change the name to Moon, change the type to land-only (the legendary supertype is unchanged) and add the mana ability.

If a copy of Yue dies, it will return to the battlefield. You'll be able to choose a new object to copy, but it will be a land named moon that can tap for colorless (it will still have any color and additional abilities). Since you're choosing a legendary permanent, and already control a legendary permanent named moon, you'll need to choose one to keep and put the other into the graveyard. As they're both lands, neither will trigger to return to the battlefield.

Referring to previous comment on cEDH being it's own format:
This or just considered 'above' or 'outside' the bracket system seems like a good idea. I think the system we currently have is only marginally better than the 1-10 system. Now, instead of most players saying, 'it's about a 7,' now they say, 'it's bracket 3.' They could/should break bracket 3 into two brackets more a bit more clarity.

I think he used Lotus Petal to get to three mana. He was then able to cast Excalibur for free. Honestly, I'm not sure on the rest. I doubt he was cheating but I was mostly just a bit stunned at the absurdity that was happening. I expected him to win even after being set back, just not in two turns.
I know at one point he played Kozilek which refilled his hand and ultimately had a bunch of mana rocks by the time the game ended. It's possible it wasn't 20 permanents but it was a silly amount of cardboard.

SaberTech I agree. Generally the person who has nothing but modern-decks-made-into-EDH usually move on because they don’t like the solo play/pet-shop-rampage feeling. The other players may also ramp their decks up a little too. I’m lucky that it generally settles itself out for me, but handling that sort of situation is something extremely personal that people will have to hammer out themselves. Even if I tried to type out a script it would fall short. People are extremely complicated and we’re all tasked with figuring out how we best interact with them.

The rules for protection include "Can't be dealt damage" by the thing you have protection from, so no damage will be dealt to your slivers and Repercussion will not trigger from those creatures. Any kind of damage prevention effect will give this result. If your slivers only had indestructible for example they would still receive the damage and trigger Repercussion. In your scenario you'll only take 4 from the Earthquake directly.

If I have Princess Yue as a moon land, and copy that land with Vesuva, the Vesuva then becomes a creature version of Yue.
My question is if this interaction can be used to repeatedly recur Yue? If Vesuva Yue dies, it returns as a moon land with the copy land text. If I choose to enter as moon Yue is it reanimating as Yue again or is it a moon land that gains scry 2?
