Obliterate
Sorcery
Obliterate can't be countered.
Destroy all artifacts, creatures, and lands. They can't be regenerated.

If you decide to go the Jokulhaups/Obliterate route don't forget to add Planeswalkers!
Burning Sands won't backfire once you cut the excess fat from your creatures. Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker clean swap.
Seize the Day > Aurelia, the Warleader
Kira, Great Glass-Spinner great card but is meh for this strategy.

I like to build some fairly toxic Commander decks, though I try to warn people if a deck dips too deeply into any of the elements I've noticed that cause toxicity. In Commander most people consider decks that take away player agency to be toxic, so that includes; -excessive permanent removal (clearing each opponent's board repeatedly, or Obliterate/Jokulhaups) -things that limit what you can do (like Rule of Law or Collector Ouphe) -excessively pushed Commanders in Casual (stuff where they throw Ward on for no reason, most of these are also the payoff and enabler in one card) -Chaos effects that turn the game on it's head (Thieves' Auction and Grip of Chaos for example) -stuff that prevents untapping (Static Orb and Winter Orb) -stealing everything strategies (flickering Agent of Treachery infinitely, Insurrection late game) -excessive discard (multiple Necrogen Mists and Bottomless Pit effects) -'win on the spot' effects that don't have an upkeep trigger (there is a few of these on the banlist, like Biorhythm and Coalition Victory) -counter everything strategies (Dovescape) -overly efficient tutoring (Zur the Enchanter *f-etch* fetching out Necropotence, and people are weirdly salty about Vampiric Tutor) -faster elimination strategies that encourage you to target a specific opponent (think anything Infect, and lower to the ground Voltron decks) -I think the last one I can think of is optional tax effects that encourage people to screw their pod and play into the Rhystic Study, if the tax is just a tax, like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben people tend not to mind as much, it's the ability to king make if you're dumb.
In 1v1 I don't think it really matters, unless you only have 1 deck to play kitchen table with just changing decks should generate enough novelty to avoid the build up of bad feelings, and if you're playing competitively it's your call if you want to play nightmarish stuff like Nadu, or something traditionally 'fun' like Aggro... only if everyone plays decks that aren't fun, more people will quit, so it's a 'tragedy of the commons' scenario too if you have a fairly small meta each player needs 'fun to play against' decks, even for 1v1.

legendofa, I certainly understand that, but how should red and green, the enemy colors of blue, be able to deal with counterspells, in that case?
Also, I very much believe that both Worldfire and Bearer of the Heavens are color pie breaks (I shall forgive Obliterate and Decree of Annihilation due to their ages), so I definitely can see your perspective, on this matter.

pookypuppy6 I like Phytotitan with that 7 power it can be a life pressure threat in death-happy grind games. Really solid if you are degenerate enough to have it in decks that work well after Obliterate or similar

Keldon Firebombers can be good. But I would rather it also destroy artifacts and creatures. For this deck, I think the more it can reset the board, the better. I actually used to have four land destruction cards in the deck: Jokulhaups, Devastation, Obliterate, and Bearer of the Heavens.
But since I have so many draw and search cards in the deck, I'm actually able to very consistently obtain a land wipe. After many games, I've noticed that I would often end up with two or more MLD in my hand. At that point, the excess were just duds. So I decided to remove Devastation and Bearer of the Heavens to make room for cheaper cards that were more useful. After lowering the average CMC, I was also able to put in more non land cards. Which I also felt made it better.
I've looked at your deck, and I think it's VERY good. I especially liked the combos you have in the deck. My deck doesn't really have too many permanents that are sac outlets, so I probably wouldn't be using those specific combos. Which I'm ok with, since I like keeping +1 counters on my creatures to prep for a MLD.
It's just a different way of winning. But again, very good job on the Marchesa deck!

I too run a Guff Super friends list but yours is creatureless and therefore better. You also snuck in a Barren Glory alternate win condition? Great work!

Hi there...
So logged onto Tapped Out, and another Sliver Overlord deck (your's in case you didnt guess) caught my eye. This pleases the Hive.
So firstly, will alway be a +1 for Sliver decks.
If I may, a couple of suggestions.
-
Lifecrafter's Bestiary swap for Guardian Project or The Great Henge You can get your draw then, without sacrificing green mana to allow the draw.
-
Black Market Connections (its a large life cost for very little gain swap for Rhystic Study Gives you repeatable draw WITHOUT sacrificing life.
-
Obliterate swap for Jokulhaups Its a just a cheaper better wrath honestly lol. Can keep your draw enchantments up too and Cryptolith Rite if you have it, giving massive mana advantage.
-
Virulent Sliver (honestly, 1 poison counter is not worth it lol) + Intruder Alarm Intruder Alarm will give you another way to combo out and put every sliver you have into play tutoring with Sliver Overlord. If you can make infinite tokens (from Sliver Queen) will combo with Lavabelly Sliver for the win.
-
Muscle Sliver swap for Chromatic Lantern Having played slivers for many many years, trample is so marginally important. You have total evasion with Shifting Sliver, Cloudshredder Sliver et al. Trample is just not that important. What is important... having available as often as possible.
-
Coat of Arms swap for Shared Animosity Means your attack bonuses only effect you
-
Predatory Sliver swap for Sedge Sliver If you have a Swamp you can regenerate, and you get the +1/+1... so strictly better
Hope you dont mind me putting my 2 pence/cents/whatever currency. If you would like to look at my deck, please just head over to my hive: Sliver Overlord - Predatory Super-Organisms
