Sideboard

Bring the beatdown with Selesnya Aggro. Inspired by Jacob Wilson's Junk Beatdown deck at the Modern Pro Tour Fate Reforged. I've taken out that dirty black mana to keep it squeaky clean and painful. The deck is incredibly well suited to contend with the format's current top decks: Abzan and Twin and should be tried out by anybody with a penchant for big creatures at little cost.

We start out with a playset of Noble Hierarch and Birds of Paradise for obvious reasons, but also 3 of that coy minx Dryad Militant, whose aggressive statline is complemented by an incredibly generous 1 G/W hybrid mana and an effect that helps stave off Snapcaster shenanigans, Lingering Souls, Life from the Loam, Gifts Ungiven, and general Delve silliness. Finally, Path to Exile because you're playing white and presumably know what good removal looks like.

At the always important two-drop slot is that all-star Voice of Resurgence, a bear that, frankly, speaks for itself/pun. Following alongside is that G/W Hatebear co-star Qasali Pridemage to add an extra oomph to singular assaults and keep a relevant MB against Bogle, Pyromancer Ascension , Seismic Assault, Splinter Twin, Affinity, etc. Saffi Eriksdotter is our adorable secret tech removal invalidator, bravely sacrificing herself to keep your bigger beaters on board.

At the 3 drop slot we have our sole mono-color beater, Brimaz, King of Oreskos, above the curve and eliminating any worries about whether to stay on offense or defense and keeps your Voice's tokens on a nutritious and beefy diet. Loxodon Smiter as one half of the "I dare you to +1 Liliana of the Veil" troll team; and Kitchen Finks to keep you nice and healthy while laughing at mundane non-exile removal. 2 Shield of the Oversoul is our trade-off for lingering souls, providing you with a +2/+2 indestructible flier of your choice from damn near all your creatures.

At the very top in the Turn 4 matters format we call Modern: Wilt-Leaf Liege is the second half of our lulz discard team and makes a single Pridemage stuff Tasigur, the Golden Fang's smug little asshole. A single Leyline of Vitality helps keep your butts big and your lifetotal bigger.

In the SB we have a card strongly being considered for MB: Gaddock Teeg is the small but impressive Kithkin here to tell your gifts to stay ungiven, your twins to keep it together, your Banefire to shut your trap, your Wrath of God to calm down, your Cryptic Command to stuff it, your Scapeshift to chill out, and your Through the Breach to keep it in its pants. For the most part, if you can name it and it ain't a creature, Gaddock has probably had enough of your shit. Moving on, Rule of Law tries to bring some order to those unruly Storm decks; Stony Silence, Fracturing Gust, and Sundering Growth spit in Affinity's cold-emotionless face; Sigarda, Host of Herons makes for a trifecta that keeps Lilianna crying and makes the rare Pox deck awfully salty. Loxodon Hierarch and Juniper Order Ranger are fun but flexible spots meant for a longer game if you should find one, but put in what you want. A Leyline of Sanctity complements an extra Vitality line for the Burning matchups, and Rest in Peace is the format's single best answer to every graveyard using deck, meaning most of them. Finally Sword of War and Peace is a leftover from Wilson that keeps Path and Bolt off your guys, but Sword of Body and Mind or Sword of Light and Shadow are probably the more meaningful choices effect-wise.
