A lot of math went into making this deck just barely playable. The sideboard is customized as much as possible to be able to have a better advantage during game 2 against as many decks as possible.
DECK BREAKDOWN:
Gatecreeper Vine and Sylvan Scrying to tutor up guildgates.
Dawn Charm, Ethereal Haze, Fog, and AEtherize to prevent your opponent from dealing damage.
Isochron Scepter to exile a fog spell with (most of the time = GG in game 1)
Abrupt Decay, Terminate, Murderous Cut, and Lightning Axe for removal.
Merfolk Looter for card filtering, along with discarding Hedron Alignment. Lightning Axe does this to. Murderous Cut also exiles for Hedron Alignment.
WIN CONDITIONS:
Maze's End is the main win con. But if you cannot win with it, there are back up plans.
Hedron Alignment is another card that can win, but usually just scrys.
Kiora, the Crashing Wave wins games while controlling the board.
Crackling Perimeter is a last resort card, as it can do direct damage to your opponent.
SIDEBOARD:
Terminate for killing more things.
Thoughseize as a universal answer.
Countersquall for noncreature strategies.
Mana Leak for any deck where they get a spell countered it equals GG.
Nature's Claim for artifacts and enchantments.
Relic of Progenitus and Grafdigger's Cage for graveyard shenanigans.
Stone Rain and Field of Ruin for land destruction.
Engineered Explosives for any low-to-the-ground strategies.
Leyline of Sanctity for decks like burn.
Merfolk Looter can replace Jace, Vryn's Prodigy
on a budget. And Ratchet Bomb can replace Engineered Explosives. And Duress can replace Thoughtseize. And Dragon's Claw can replace Leyline of Sanctity.
