Great minds think alike ;) Azban Life Gain/Loss Enchantment Control

Only suggestion would be to use more removal that gains life. Stuff like Seeds of Innocence, Divine Offering, Serene Offering, etc.

I have an Abzan life gain deck. These are some cards from it that might be worth a spot in your Esper strategy.

Essence Pulse, Kaya's Wrath, Kambal, Consul of Allocation, Divine Offering, Serene Offering, Shambling Vent, Aetherflux Reservoir, Alhammarret's Archive, Blighted Steppe

I’d vote for going mainly black with a splash of white. You’ll need protection/removal, and white excels in this respect. You could sideboard one stuff like Apostle's Blessing, Demystify, Smite or Divine Offering. Then there’s lifegain, which will undoubtedly prove helpful, and white again has a plethora of cards to choose from.

Update: Took out Divine Offering for The Immortal Sun = I had way too much artifact and enchantment removal. Cursebreak for Mind's Eye = That extra Mana now has a use. I am also fixing that dead draw. Solemn Offering for Land Tax = Unseen Card advantage by thinning out the deck. Plus never missing a land drop is nice. Terashi's Grasp for Mana Vault = When I am having downtime waiting to blow up the board state, I can untap with the four mana. The ping of one damage really is not seen by how much the life gain is represented here. Then, Repercussion for Boros Signet = This was great, but I am susceptible to mass artifact removal.

Did come into a weird situation that needs addressing. Someone puts Followed Footsteps on my Stuffy Doll. They name me. I have Pariah on my Stuffy Doll and Repercussion. What happens here? My judge classes give me the sense that I essentially loop and the loop cannot stop. In that time the damage has nowhere to go that will hurt the game state. Thus, moving on with the game happens.

Lastly, I am looking for a slot for Authority of the Consuls. The choices are getting hard. I am considering Mizzium Mortars only because I have board wipe already in mass.

Any thoughts?

The great majority of your creature make you gain life: it seem redundant to use an aura and an equipment to give lifelink. And Ajani's Mantra really doesn't worth it. Put in at least some removal, like Journey to Nowhere or Oblivion Ring. If your are thinking about a sideboard: Divine Offering.

TheVectornaut on Flicker Budget Isochron

Since you already have Isochron Scepter, you could try something like Divine Offering or Purge to get rid of artifacts. A more traditional sideboard option is Stony Silence, but it's pretty expensive. For burn, you may just be able to keep out of range by gaining life every turn. You could try flickering something like Cathedral Sanctifier or even Inquisitor Exarch, or you might just put a Rest for the Weary on a stick. Elixir of Immortality is already fairly strong against mill, but Quest for Ancient Secrets is another option. There's also always Wheel of Sun and Moon if you ever decided to break budget.

Ssserra on Blood is Life... And your Death

Looks like a fun deck!

Am I reading it right that Exquisite Blood paired with Sanguine Blood creates a loop of endless damage to him and enless lifegain to you?

Example: You have both cards on the battlefield. You deal one damage to him somehow. Exquisite Blood triggers, gaining you one life. The lifegain triggers Sanguine Blood, making your opponent lose one life, triggering Exquisite Blood again... and on and on...

If so, that's a pretty sweet combo, even if Exquisite Blood is a little pricey.

What about Divine Offering instead of Mortify? One less mana and has lifegain.

Ah, there are a ton of options there. I'm just going to name some cards, you can select any of them to help you find what you need.

Disenchant

Divine Offering

Seal of Cleansing

Serenity

Aura of Silence (to make it harder for your opponent to cast them or to make him tap out/make it harder to cast 2 spells in one turn. can help lategame if sacrificed

Solemn Offering

Terashi's Grasp

Ray of Distortion

Akroma's Vengeance

Austere Command

maybe this will help :)
