Dandan

Creature — Fish

Dandan can't attack unless defending player controls an Island.

When you control no Islands, sacrifice Dandan.

I love the list you have going here! It makes me so happy you have Marjhan and Dandan :)

It is not a good card by any stretch but Devouring Deep might fit in here too, if you are looking for any more old-school fish :D

I've always loved the picture for the card Dandan. Even though it was always a shyt card, it often found its way into my blue decks back when I was a teenager (ah, the glory days of Chronicles; yes, I am too young for Arabian Knights, though just barely). Just the idea of a big ass fish - not a shark, not a Leviathan, just a school bus sized Koi fish - getting ready to wreck a couple rowboats. I don't know, it appealed to me.

Anyway, I was ninja'd while reminiscing. Do above. Also, though, why's there no code for a fourth chapter in a saga? Whatever...

Would ouphes be a good fit here? While most creatures from the tribe seem to be hard to pronounce, I think Niall Silvain might be especially comfortable here :)

Have you also considered Ulasht, the Hate Seed, Gnathosaur, Vizzerdrix, Delraich, Xantcha, Sleeper Agent, and Dandan?

Atogatog , while maybe not the most difficult to pronounce card, could also give you all five colors if you ran it as a commander.

Ovalchase Dragster, Illusory Ambusher, Frost Walker, and Dandan seem good for cheap beaters. I would definitely lean hard into doing more damage, otherwise, you're just building a bad Edric, Spymaster of Trest deck.

First off, I hate to say it, but Dandan is not Pauper legal. Don't trust Tappedout, it doesn't work. I advise that you use Scryfall. Also, I recommend you use Spreading Seas over Sea's Claim due to the cantripping. Also, IDK if you're on a budget, but Preordain, Ponder, and Brainstorm all blow Opt out of the water, although Brainstorm is best if you have shuffle effects.

mrbubbles9868 Yes. Just yes. Actually, in the deck I built in real life I subbed out Dandan for Stormtide Leviathan because it worked so well. I'll update that, thanks for bringing it to my attention. :)
