Sideboard

Maybeboard

My take on budget legacy Elves deck, nothing to extreme, not trying to win any sanctioned events with this, just get some of that legacy Elves feel from it. Note that I'm mostly looking at prices on Cardmarket, and all prices are in Euros. I know some cards are more expensive in the US. I had beast whisperer as a stand-in for glimpse, but turns out it is almost 2$, while it's less than a 1€ in EU, but same goes for glimpse proper, which is around 7€ in EU in thus half as much than in US.

Turns out Elvish Reclaimer is one of the best addition to legacy elves in recent time. In a competitive build (cf.: maybeboard, which has all the potential upgrades for the deck)there's no reason not to also include dark depths package, but even in a more budget build, it can find you the cradle or whatever, so you can really go off.

Three Overgrown Tomb's are in as a stand-in for 3 Bayou's, and I've also added the cheapest fetchlands (honestly don't really know why people run varied fetchlands, especially in this type of deck, as both wooded foothills and windswept heath find you bayou/overgrown tomb, I'm guessing there is a valid reason, but I don't know).

Also I'm not sure which is better Assassins Trophy or Abrupt Decay. They both are good for certain matches, and it's hard to decide which you want more. I might go 2-2 in sideboard, but not sure if that's right. Again against control you want abrupt decay, but against tron, 12-post and Eldrazi you want assassin's trophy.
