Darigaaz Reincarnated

Darigaaz Reincarnated

Legendary Creature — Dragon

Flying, trample, haste

If Darigaaz Reincarnated would die, instead exile it with three egg counters on it.

At the beginning of your upkeep, if Darigaaz Reincarnated is exiled with an egg counter on it, remove an egg counter from it. Then if Darigaaz has no egg counters on it, return it to the battlefield.

ugg i love jund, but to be honest my best jund decks were not commander dependent
only half decent options are Korvold, Fae-Cursed King as already suggested , Lord Windgrace , & Xira Arien
personaly i love to run Darigaaz Reincarnated but he's just flavor and doesn't actually leave the zone

you know i'm board and reading Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider
and i cant help but wonder how they will rule this to work when your opponents cast suspend creatures or triggers like Darigaaz Reincarnated for example
definitely a big down side on cards like Thing in the Ice  Flip & Dark Depths

Hey, well done with precon upgrade on a budget.

Scion of the Ur-Dragon is one of the best Dragons for Dragon tribal being a repeatable Dragon tutor. Scion could replace Wardscale Dragon. Scion's ability to change into a Dragon can be done at instant speed which means during combat you can change into different Dragons whenever there's a stop at a combat phase.

Scion's ability goes well with Savage Ventmaw, Teneb, the Harvester and Bladewing the Risen which is a three Dragon combo to end up with Scion and cheat Teneb/Bladewing on the battlefield. Then if Teneb lives he can reanimate other Dragons you tutor for with Scion. Savage is part of the combo because you tutor for him first with Scion, before you attack which then gives you 6 mana to activate Scion three times during combat. The combo takes 11 mana therefore Savage making 6 mana means you only need 5 mana for other sources. Would you like me to explain this combo?

Consider cutting a few of the least good Dragons for more Dragon support? Rhythm of the Wild and Temur Ascendancy are in the maybeboard and they could replace two Dragons such as Vorosh, the Hunter and Darigaaz Reincarnated. The repeatable effects of Rhythm and Ascendancy are much better than what these Dragons can provide. Faeburrow Elder is also in the maybeboard and it's a much better ramp source than Mana Geode. Crux of Fate and Eerie Ultimatum are also in the maybeboard they could replace Spit Flame and Palace Siege.

There's 20 lands here of the 36 that will always ETB tapped which is a lot. The Tri lands on a budget are worth always ETB tapped, the rest are not. My advice is cut the Bounce lands and Scry lands for other types of lands. The combination of lots of Tri lands and Bounce lands is not good; play either one, not both in the same manabase.

Exotic Orchard is budget staple Rainbow land. By adding a few more basic lands then the 5 Battle lands are budget options since they have interaction with lots of basic lands. Cinder Glade, Smoldering Marsh, Sunken Hollow, Prairie Stream, Canopy Vista, can get each of these for less than $2 at TCGPlayer with Vista being the most expensive.

Manabase upgrades to consider:

You have Farseek and it can search for one of these Battle lands which is helpful for color fixing.

Good luck with your deck.

Just going by Scryfall (even going as deep as <0.90c in terms of value rather than the full dollar) there are quite a few that spring up that I'd be interested in seeing made on such an extreme budget:

Rashmi, Eternities Crafter -- Simic Control/Tempo is something I'd be super interested to see on a budget, not gonna lie.

Tasigur, the Golden Fang -- Recursive politics on a budget?

Kefnet the Mindful -- You could easily do Mystic Sanctuary loops here, there are a couple of spells that require you to bounce a land to cast, like Deprive and Tragic Lesson.

Oviya Pashiri, Sage Lifecrafter -- Only because I have a budget plan for her myself, I'd be interested in seeing another take on it!

Darigaaz Reincarnated -- This is more of a pet idea for me, I love Darigaaz.

Rosheen Meanderer/Hallar, the Firefletcher -- Both are kind of unique in Gruul colours so it'd be interesting to see either made on a budget.

Sachi, Daughter of Seshiro -- If you're looking for a tribal commander, Shamans are a very unique tribe.

Those are just some that spring to mind for me looking over the list, whether you run with any of them or not I hope you enjoy the process of budgeteering! I know I do whenever I get the itch!

Hi again.. It's me...

A low costing dragon that may also help with some ramp is Gadrak, the Crown-Scourge. He can't attack until you have a handful of artifacts, but is a good blocker until then. To make room, I think my least favorite in what you have is Spellbound Dragon.

Depending on budget... Balefire Dragon is a better option than Drakuseth, Maw of Flames because it hits ALL your opponent's creatures. But it's about US$10 more than Drakuseth right now.

Hellkite Tyrant is always awesome and a good way to get some ramp from your opponents. Who doesn't love to steal artifacts from across the table? Plus, it gives you an alternative way to win. Darigaaz Reincarnated is cool because he comes back by himself.. but you have other ways to bring things back if needed, so I'd skip Darigaaz.

For lands, I would encourage a couple of the Triome's from Ikoria. These lands are THREE colors and also can be tutor'd for with your Farseek and Skyshroud Claim if you get the Triome's that say "Forest" (Zagoth Triome, Ketria Triome, and Indatha Triome). This will help make sure that you can find a land that has the color you need... which could be any of the colors. Triomes are still a bit expensive right now, but that might never change.

Hey, good start.

Sol Ring, Command Tower and Arcane Signet are three staples in Commander that are within the budget here. Scion of the Ur-Dragon, Utvara Hellkite and Lathliss, Dragon Queen are Dragon upgrades. Dragon Tempest has powerful effects with Dragons. Elemental Bond is good repeatable draw with Dragons.

Ketria Triome and Raugrin Triome are the other two Triomes and Ketria is good in combination with Indatha Triome with Skyshroud Claim which can give you all five colors from two Triomes. Nature's Lore is another land ramp spell that can search for a Forest Triome or Forest Shock land. Crop Rotation is a land tutor for any land and puts the land onto the battlefield. Haven of the Spirit Dragon is another Rainbow land for Dragons.

I play in a wide variety of pods, from jank / pauper / beginners, to experienced players piloting 70-85% powered decks, and I find that infinite combos are MUCH more accepted than stax or taxes -- if that infinite combo wins you the game on that turn or the following. My playgroup plays to have fun games, but also is competitive. It should be said that communication and honestly play a big role in making the enjoyment high, the social contract is definitely important.

When you and your group have a couple hours to sit at the table and play, assembling a win-the-game combo to close up a game and get us to the next one is appreciated (especially for the unfortunate players that got mana flooded / screwed and couldn't really do anything), and maybe lets you play a few more games than if you all let the silliness play out.

Stax or taxes decks on the other hand, can slow down the game to a crawl, and many brewers may forget to include a win-con, so you're all just sitting there twiddling your thumbs as the Grand Arbiter Augustin IV player plays draw-go. In 3 hours you'll play one game, or you'll all just decide to concede, and it's lame (imho).

When I play strategies that are "in bad taste" for non-cEDH groups (taxes, mass land destruction, stax, draw-go, etc), I make sure to really only use it as a means to win quickly. As an example, I brewed a MLD Darigaaz Reincarnated deck, that would ramp hard to play Darigaaz, then windmill-slap a Jokulhaups or Worldslayer, nuking everything, except my 7/7 flampler would come back swinging in a couple turns.

In that scenario, although many turns would go by before Darigaaz starts mercing players, the turns only last a few seconds as they draw their card, can't play it and pass. Don't impliment a stax / MLD strategy unless you can win quickly off of it.
