Yea, your land base is pretty janky, Scalding Tarn, Flooded Strand, Misty Rainforest, Bloodstained Mire, Verdant Catacombs, and Marsh Flats are all becoming more affordable now w/ reprints and will take out all those basics and at least make sure you can cast stuff on time.

First and foremost outta be Phenax, God of Deception. Heck, I'd probably (okay I actually did do this for a while) run him as the commander.

Phenax does look fun and is someone I'm looking at just wondering if I have enough high defense creatures to make him worth it.

I see a lot of great stuff in your maybeboard. I'd prioritize the inclusion of Glimpse the Unthinkable, Life's Finale, Mesmeric Orb, Mind Funeral, Phenax, God of Deception, Sword of Body and Mind, Telemin Performance, and Watery Grave.
I run a Phenax, God of Deception mill deck and it typically plays out focusing on on all the other methods to mill my opponents. Casting Phenax to enable my existing creatures to tap and mill my opponent is often the finishing move they've completely forgotten about. Helps cleave off the last 10-30 cards in their library, partnering Phenax, God of Deception with Sewer Nemesis, Nemesis of Reason, Colossus of Akros or a fun little combo with Eater of the Dead.

Thanks! Appreciate the feedback. Most of the maybeboard is stuff I want to get, but just have to acquire slowly for budget reasons :)

I have an EDH mill deck but I take a different route of having everyone draw out (it's more amusing, and easier to win in a single turn regardless of how many people are playing). So it might not mesh up with what you're going for, but feel free to take a look for ideas:
Win conditions: Price of Knowledge & Forced Fruition
Fun combo: Prosperity + Hive Mind = Usually everyone draws 40-50 cards through this.

Cards to help you get to where you want to be:
Jace, the Mind Sculptor, Chains of Mephistopheles, Cryptic Command, Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir, Sunken Ruins, Remand/Flusterstorm, Damnation, Yawgmoth's Will, Necropotence
Cards to improve your consistency:
Imperial Seal, Demonic Tutor, Personal Tutor, Sensei's Divining Top
Cards to help ramp into functioning:
Grim Monolith, Mana Crypt, Mana Vault, Crucible of Worlds
All solid additions to any mill deck. Give them a try!
