Although Lurrus might not be viable as a companion, he's still amazing as a regular creature.

The usual method:

Gifts Ungiven -> Unburial Rites + Protean Hulk -> Sacrifice Protean Hulk or have him die somehow -> Viscera Seer, Melira, Sylvok Outcast, and Murderous Redcap. Game over in two turns.
