Hello! This deck is bear tribal if you couldn’t guess from the commander. We play a lot of bears that are better with more bears.

The cards here are kept mostly simple for ease of access to new players. They’re easy to read and easy to play.

The game plan is to get Ayula, Queen Among Bears out early and start making bears as fast as possible. Early on you will want to choose the counter option almost every time, and it’s a good idea to spread them out too because we have cards like Inspiring Call and Evolution Sage that care about multiple creatures with counters on them.

Our main wincon is Overrun or completing the quest on Beastmaster Ascension and swinging with everything we got. The only way to win in this deck is to swing wide so try and keep your creatures alive. This deck suffers HEAVILY from board wipes, so try to avoid them as best you can. Take it slow as you play so you don’t paint a target on your back.

We have a bunch of anthems and lords available to us as well so our little 2/2 bears become monsters way too quick. Adaptive Automaton and Metallic Mimic are the bread and butter of any creature tribal deck so we got them here. Ayula, Queen Among Bears is also a pseudo lord too because she gives permanent +2/+2 to bears as they come in. We also run Vanquisher's Banner, Bloodline Pretender, Renata, Called to the Hunt, and Ruxa, Patient Professor for the vanilla bears as well. Even if only a couple of these guys are on the board, your opponents are in trouble.

As such, you want to protect them as well as you can. I’ve skimped on a lot of the basic protection spells for green because they were either too expensive or too rules heavy, so the only things we have are Swiftfoot Boots and Snakeskin Veil. We do have Regrowth as well, and since we also have Ruxa, Patient Professor, you should only use Regrowth on important bears. This might change in the future depending on how it performs when compared to my other beginner friendly decks though.

We also have a lot of ways to generate bear tokens to proc Ayula’s triggers as much as possible. The non repeatable ones are Fade from History, Titania's Command, and Kamahl's Summons. The repeatable ones are Bearscape, Birthing Boughs, and Ayula's Influence.

Last but not least, we have good draw potential and land ramp. Owlbear Shepherd, Garruk's Uprising and the like help us refill our hand constantly and cards like Kodama's Reach and Cultivate will make it so we can get access to our mana faster and more consistently along side the basic mana rocks (I.e. Sol Ring).

Hope this helps and happy hunting!
