So thanks to Rivals of Ixalan i've got a couple interesting additions to the deck, i hope they'll work out :)
Reckless Rage took the place of Abrade which is still on the sideboard in case artifact's removal are needed.
Protean Raider took the place of Saheeli Rai and Cryptic Serpent because of its better versatility: having it enter the battlefield as Hazoret the Fervent, Glorybringer or The Scarab God is gonna hilarious
Made room for Warkite Marauder because it's a very interesting card to ensure removals.
Added Form of the Dinosaur which will probably take Vance's Blasting Cannons
slots, it not only refills our HP, it also has a crazy sinergy with Soul-Scar Mage!
It removes all creatures without taking damage back since they are -1/-1 counters... and it also isnt legendary!
So this deck took form only few days ago while i was slowing realize how powerful some of the new spells in Ixalan are and how well they sinergize with an old project i had in mind for modern... making this possible in standard format was like a dream becoming true!
Control your opponent with the wide array of instants and finish them off with a fiery cannonade or with our huge dragons!
Developing thoughts:
Your early game will be played around Abrade, Lightning Strike, Essence Scatter and Negate to control your opponent, after turn 4 you can drop Cryptic Serpent for only 2 mana or Enigma Drake being a big */4 flier which will grow up turn by turn.
You should save a couple of 1cmc cards (mainly Opt) for when you draw Vance's Blasting Cannons
so you can pay a total of 6cmc and instantly transform it.
The rest of the game should go smoothly, you got counters, burns, big creatures and a land that keeps dealing 3 damage to anyone.
If that wasnt enough we have Saheeli Rai who can copy our Enigma Drake for additional pressure!
Sweltering Suns is here as a "soft" board wipe which our creatures can survive.
Added 3 Soul-Scar Mage to deal with indestructible creatures such as Hazoret the Fervent.
Magma Spray and Puncturing Blow will deal with The Scarab God and other nasty stuff, against control deck we can swap them for Shock.
Cryptic Serpent will deal with Carnage Tyrant and the likes.
Added 1 Pull from Tomorrow and 2 Chart a Course because i needed more drawing power.

PS: this is a budget idea, so no Hazoret the Fervent nor Torrential Gearhulk !!
