Latch Seeker

Creature — Spirit

Latch Seeker can't be blocked.

I love spirits! I just have two possible cards for you to consider. Uninvited Geist  Flip and the Latch Seeker both are blue, hard to block spirits. I just had to advocate these two, they're some of my favorite cards.

Gargosa, Stone Statue

Legendary Creature--Gargoyle Shaman

Flying, first strike, trample

Unstoppable (You may have Thorn Elemental assign its combat damage as though it weren't blocked.)

3/3

Make more cards with a MTG Arena specific ability. I believe there is unstoppable, seen on my gargoyle, also, there is backbone (granted by Huatli, the Sun's Heart), unblockable (Latch Seeker), and there might be others.

Quickspell on Two Creatures With Quietus Spike

When two creatures with Quietus Spike attack:
- both creatures assign combat damage at the same time
- afterwards, both Quietus Spikes trigger after one another.

Latch Seeker and Gudul Lurker are both equipped with Quietus Spike and assign combat damage.

Enemy has 20 life:
(-3) + (-1) = 16 life.
1QS > 16 - 8 = 8 life.
2QS > 8 - 4 = 4 life.

Is this correct?

Looter il-Kor for Latch Seeker and River Sneak for Invisible Stalker . if its on budget Delver of Secrets  Flip but you will need to add more spells. all the enchantments seem redundant Ordeal of Thassa , Singing Bell Strike , Waterknot could be replaced by Curious Obsession , Hands of Binding , Hidden Strings or spells like Vapor Snag , Boomerang , etc. Hall of Triumph might be too slow and you can only have one at a time. if you add black to the mix you could have Inkfathom Witch for a bit more reach and better removal plus a few revival cards like Undying Evil and Demonic Vigor , and hand disruption. and having a 4 of Rune Snag will probably help you too, to stop the opponent killing your creatures or getting a threat. that all i got, i think, good luck with the brew.

AdamChafee on Aether Spirit Shutdown

Gostgun, I'm not using Geist of Saint Traft for two main reasons: 1 is money. 2 is the fact that my deck isn't necessarily a traditional spirit deck that uses cards like Steel of the Godhead to give him unblockable. He winds up dying to creatures easily if something can block it. My deck is more oriented towards extreme defense until I can swing with fliers or Latch Seeker. If it were up to me I'd take out Call to the Kindred and Tallowisp for Aether Vial and Phantasmal Image.

I appreciate the feedback though! I definitely thought about having him if I went the more traditional route with this deck.

Not sure how expensive these cards are in tix, but all 5 of the Swords would fit great here, as well as Fireshrieker, Undermine (triggers Sygg), Latch Seeker, Runechanter's Pike, etc. I'm a big fan of Equipment in a Sygg deck.

White destroy all creatures type cards mixed with blue counters and unsummons could help beat it. Wrath of God is a good example and there are many variations of it. A heavy control deck with a few unblockable creatures like Latch Seeker buffed with Unstable Mutation would help help you beat him. I dunno what your budget is or cards on hand but a white blue control usually (in my experience) murders any green deck. Make a human variation and use Bonds of Faith and Neurok Invisimancer
