Lash Out

Instant

Lash Out deals 3 damage to target creature. Clash with an opponent. If you win, Lash Out deals 3 damage to that creature's controller. (Each clashing player reveals the top card of his or her library, then puts that card on the top or bottom. A player wins if his or her card had a higher converted mana cost.)

Lash Out Discussion

Seems okay for a budget burn deck, but I would point out that, with your mana curve the way it is, then with Lash Out you will not likely win the clash part of it.

definitely put in Felhide Brawler and swap your Lightning Strikes for better bolts, Incinerate and Lash Out are strictly better versions of Lightning Strike and Searing Blaze is even better.

The Fanatic of Mogis might as well be a quality 3 drop, extra copies of Rageblood Shaman and Boros Reckoner seem like obvious swaps.

I also thing 3 Kragma Warcallers is probably too much, a land or discard spell would go a long way to help your curve and consistency

Looks sweet as hell, no pun intended. I have played very little commander, but everyone tells me that it's a slower format where you just need to survive to start dropping your haymakers. This deck looks like it's chock full of haymakers, so you've got that box checked. Seriously, if you ever hit me with Rakdos, Lord of Riots and then play Wurmcoil Engine for free I will cry tears of jealous rage.

Let's talk mana. You've got 29 non-basics, 7 basics (I assume, as your list is 93 cards right now), and 5 artifact mana sources. That brings you to 41 mana sources, which is probably about right. It might not hurt to bump up to a few more since you are trying to cast stuff like Dread Cacodemon, and 10 mana is a lot. Also worth noting: You do have a general that reduces the cost of your dudes, but I don't think it's a good idea to rely on him heavily for that, as there are about a million things that kill him.

One thing I would take a look at is what non-basics you have. There are a lot of and and even costs in your cards, and you have a couple lands that only tap for colorless. The Urza-tron lands are sweet, but unless you have all three out they are just Wastes, and are really not going to help you cast your commander. Don't get me wrong, the Urza lands are straight up broken if you can get all 3 out, but with only 1 of each and no way to search them out apart from the tutors, I feel like they're just a liability here, and don't really synergize with your commander. I also don't think you need Reliquary Tower. Maybe I'm missing some crazy combo, but I think you'll rarely ever have more than 7 cards in hand unless you're mana screwed.

Cabal Coffers is also nuts, but you only have a handful of swamps, and you need to have 3 out before it does anything other than cost you mana. If you're really into Cabal Coffers (and honestly, why wouldn't you be) I would recommend cutting some of the other lands for more swamps and a Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth. Urborg makes itself and the Coffers into swamps as well, so if you get the two out I imagine silly things will happen. Here are the lands I would cut for more basics:

Great Furnace: synergizes with Unlicensed Disintegration, but also means someone can Naturalize one of your lands.Reflecting Pool: A dual land in your deck, doesn't seem like you need more of those, but I could be wrong.Reliquary TowerTransguild Promenade: I don't think you need many rainbow lands, you're just a two color deckUrza's Mine, Urza's Power Plant, Urza's TowerVesuva: You have a lot of comes in to play tapped lands already, and this doesn't do enough to make me think it's better than just another swamp/mountain.

I like the removal. I think adding some more burn might synergize a bit better with your commander than something like Clear a Path, which may never have a target. Searing Blood is perfect for this deck, and I would go all in on effects like that. Look at cards like Lash Out and Searing Blaze. Blazing Salvo also seems kind of fun. It's either a Lightning Bolt or a Cabal Ritual for one of your dudes.

Looks awesome man, can't wait to play against it!

Hehe this deck is fun!

Playtested a bit and had a hard time getting the jank on, I feel you could get more consistency with cards like Brainstorm, Preordain, or even Index which could help feed Thermo-Alchemist. I'd take out Lash Out since your converted mana costs are rather low with lots of land... (I know, flavour!).

If clash is important to you you could have fun with cards like Gurmag Angler, Sultai Scavenger, Hooting Mandrills, Treasure Cruise and Scornful Egotist with maybe some Erratic Explosion, Induce Despair, Burnt Offering, Energy Tap... Or at least I think that'd be fun..

I would suggest taking out Village Messenger  Flip and Lash Out because you are a burn deck playing a bunch of burn spells a turn you are just going to be flipping him back and forth when you don't want and with Lash Out you are again a burn deck you are never gonna win the clash only 8 of your creatures are more than a 2 drop. I would suggest Hellspark Elemental and/or Spark Elemental, Rift Bolt and Lava Spike.

Speedway Fanatic, while fun isn't actually adding anything to the deck other than a 2/1 haste body, as the veichles already have haste. Kolaghan Stormsinger sufferes the same problem- if you were running something silly like Phyrexian Soulgorger it'd be different, but isn't veichles as a finisher is a very interesting idea though. You'll want a slightly higher artifact count to trigger those galvanic blasts, and some lower cost artifacts to push - Sky Skiff, Shrapnel Blast, Smuggler's Copter. Giantbaiting works similarly to crew- there is likely a setup that will allow for both to be exploited. I'm a fan of Lash Out in my 2 burn slot in budget thanks to the ability to control the top card of your library- at the expense of letting your opponent do the same. You aren't likely to be running short of ways to close out a game, the trick'll be getting the creatures there to make it happen. Happy brewing!

Lash Out is probably my favourite budget burn spell for lists like this, but I've found Flame Jab/Geistflame/Burning Vengeance to be a fun package for ultra-budget burn making use of the discards and filtering lands. I'm a fan of Electrickery/Inflame, Earthquake, Firespout, Slagstorm, Street Spasm, Pyroclasm, Kindle the Carnage, Volcanic Fallout, Martyr of Ashes for crowd control. Fiery Gambit, Incendiary CommandThe big thing with budget lists is always sideboard- Aura Barbs, Boil, Empty the Warrens, Ingot Chewer, Molten Rain, Rending Volley, Roast, Shattering Spree, Weight of Spires, Sudden Shock, Smash to Smithereens Tormod's Crypt, Dragon's Claw, Bottle Gnomes and Shattering Blow can all find their place. Burst Lightning is a cheap shock upgrade and Furnace Scamp can be more efficient than a bolt if you are removing blockers. Unstable Footing/Wild Slash is pretty useful for that final push.

Lightning Strike has a lot of other cards that it can be replaced with, dealing more damage for cheaper. The traditional 2 mana burn spells are all in the RDW lists, but I have a particular love for Lash Out.Lava spike is fun. I'd want to be running something like Boggart Ram-Gang over Rubblebelt Raiders, and would consider Jund Hackblade and Rip-Clan Crasher, alongside Become Immense (perhaps only 2) and giant growth.
