This was a budget deck, originally. Price jumps and random pack pulls can certainly wreak havoc on the plans of even the most stalwart student of jank.

Dalakos, Crafter of Wonders is a fresh take on Equipment, and is uniquely suited to exploit a small subset of pieces that equip to a creature when it enters the battlefield - Sai of the Shinobi, Stormrider Rig, Ronin Warclub - which can be tutored with Trinket Mage, Tribute Mage and Trophy Mage respectively. There are smarter targets for these in the late game, but these pieces are key to our plan.

Rather than Voltron up on Dalakos himself, our plan is to field weird beaters on the cheap and come out slugging thanks to the aforementioned auto-equip weapons. Scrappy fighters like Champion of the Flame, Goblin Gaveleer and Shambling Suit scale quickly, while big bodies like Qumulox, Furnace Hellkite,Barricade Breaker and Metalwork Colossus all get cheaper with our artifact count and are terrifying with haste. Unique on-hit effects like Towering-Wave Mystic, Covert Technician and Cephalid Constable scale with damage, ranging from high-value plays to straight up removing a player from the game.

Thanks to Kamigawa equipment-creatures, this deck has a staggering 20 equipment in it - filling roles like ramp and card draw to make sure Dalakos has as many tools to play with as possible. The protection suite focuses on phasing effects like Slip Out the Back to keep our Equipment safe as well.

Overall it's a fun jank deck and I like it. :)
