Tanglewalker

Creature — Dryad

Creatures you control are unblockable as long as defending player controls an artifact land.

I like how this is turning out. You actually have so much left over budget you could use to improve the anthems and removal. Thunderfoot Baloth and Murkfiend Liege come to mind. Also you might have missed Siren Stormtamer (it'll drop) and Favorable Winds

One thing I really don't get is Tanglewalker, I'd argue Wild Beastmaster to be better or Champion of Lambholt if you have the budget

I've done some basic testing and aggressive mulligans are actually pretty legit here. Shrapnel Blast could be strong sideboard. Tunnel Ignus for those bloom titan knock-offs. Blinkmoth Well for when you just need to lock things down. Serum Powder for those aggressive mulligans. Charmbreaker Devils in place of hoard-smelter, perhaps. Mizzium Transreliquat to copy their pillow fort. Seal of Primordium for killing emrakul. Metallic Mastery for the lulz. Smash isn't strong enough. Tanglewalker is too situational. Vithian Renegades and Tin Street Hooligan are super fun. Molder could be good sb.

Gotta say I'm kinda jealous of how budget you make your decks... That said! First thing I notice is, no Riptide Laboratory! That needs to go in if you're playing wizards.

Far as making things unblockable goes, I see Archetype of Imagination in the maybeboard, which could help. There's also a number of enchantments and artifacts you could add in favor of some of the random creatures you have that don't fit the wizard theme/don't have as much utility - stuff like Whispersilk Cloak, Aqueous Form, Spirit Mantle, Unquestioned Authority, and Spectra Ward all would make creatures unblockable or pretty much unblockable. Thassa, God of the Sea, of course. Godsend is super effective too, and a generally great card - no one wants to block unless they absolutely have to when that's equipped to a creature (and if that creature has vigilance... mmmmmm). Instant/sorcery wise, Artful Dodge and Crypsis could work. If you feel crazy Sun Quan, Lord of Wu effectively gives everything unblockable too (because really, almost no one except Vela the Night-Clad players are gonna play horsemanship), but he's a bit pricy and horsemanship doesn't really fit the idea... Rogue's Passage is decent-ish.

Most of that stuff is gonna be for single creatures though... You could try Tanglewalker and Deepchannel Mentor, though both of those have their drawbacks.

Last thought I have is since you're playing Derevi it might be a good idea to take advantage of his tappy abilities? Stuff like Winter Orb, Static Orb, Strionic Resonator, Tangle Wire and so on since he can get around those stax cards in various ways.

Helpful, hopefully? Best of luck!

@Perikoresis

Thanks so much for checking out the deck dude! I understand what you mean, sometimes the deck can start to fall short late game, but off the top of my head, here's some cards that could make it a little bit more reliable when you get to that stage:

Deus of Calamity is a pretty strong card at 6/6. The added Trample and the ability to keep destroying lands when attacking is very useful, especially due to the fact that when you summon it, you'd hopefully be in a position where your opponent wouldn't have much to deal with him.

Tanglewalker is another very useful creature dealing some good damage.

Acidic Slime is a pretty decent card, the deathtouch is handy for preventing your opponent from attacking for at least a few turns. The only thing that puts me off using it though is that its mana cost is pretty high for a 2/2. Definitely try it out though if you need more "meat" in the deck.

Viridian Revel is useful for speeding up the deck if you find that it is a bit slow.

Smash to Smithereens is essentially a better Lightning Strike for this deck. It is basically Smelt but better and for an extra colorless mana which honestly in such a cheap deck, in terms of mana, is not that bad.

Whipflare can also be used however I wouldn't really recommend it because its not very reliable. It's just good to know that it exists really!

I've never really made sideboards for my decks, however, Boil and Flashfires are no brainers for this deck's sideboard.

Sometimes I also like throw in Chandra, Pyromaster her +1 and her 0 abilities. The 0 is useful for speeding up the deck and the +1 is just handy to deal some quick damage.

I hope this has helped you a little bit! If I think of any other useful additions, I'll be sure to let you know. Thanks a lot for trying out the deck and thanks for the comment my friend!

Happy destruction!
