In: Alesha, Who Laughs at Fate (a solid recursion option), Ali from Cairo (this is a ripcord to pull when you're looking at lethal, I've found myself in this position a few times and since this deck is very good at dialing up answers, I've slotted good 'ol Ali into the deck, Callous Bloodmage (this is a needed answer for decks that also rely on graveyard recursion), Carrion Feeder (I needed a creature based sac-oulet, which would be easier to tutor and would allow infinite combos), Dolmen Gate (chose over Legion's Initiative and Reconnaissance -both of which I love and are good alternatives -I'm testing out the gate to see which one I like more), Goblin Bombardment (free sac outlet, can go infinite), Pinnacle Monk  Flip (back into the main and out from the maybe; the one game I didn't have it I found the game stretching with lots of juicy targets accumulating in the graveyard and no way to get them back; I like options), Swamp (up to 5 total, better hitting land drops), Viscera Seer (another more optimal free sac-outlet).

Out: Aether Vial (I love this card and it's done good work mid-game, but I think there is better value), Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit (I decided to remove the infinite combo with Murderous Redcap for more resiliency and interaction potential), Baton of Morale (I really want to showcase the power of banding and think this could be a good way to direct damage to the creatures you want to die/recur, but am testing Dolmen Gate as an alternative way to do it), Cauldron of Souls (good for ETB recursion and wraths but I wanted to bring down the CMC, tough call), Claws of Gix (replaced for better options), Denethor, Ruling Steward (better options), Legion's Initiative (I love this card and it lets me get an extra ETB trigger, but am trying Dolmen Gate as an alternative), Murderous Redcap (took out the infinite damage trigger with Anafeza), Sword of Light and Shadow (I really like swords, but felt there are better options).

Hi, Banding is an amazing ability and I would highly recommend utilizing it. Baton of Morale is awesome, but do not overlook Defensive Formation which grants you the benefits of a Banded Block, without technically using the Banding mechanic.

One card in my Banding deck that's always carried its weight is Commander Eesha - the protection from creatures (and any sort of indestructibility/protection) in a band is unbelievably powerful, as you can point any damage dealt to the band solely at her and effectively negate it when both attacking and blocking. And if you want to go all-in in banding birds, you could also run Baton of Morale, Formation, and/or Cooperation.

Hey, nice version. I've never seen Baton of Morale in a game of Commander.

Garruk's Uprising and Quartzwood Crasher is a really good Dino interaction. Uprising can do a lot for three mana and Crasher is one of the better Dinos. Because you have Glade, Vista, Stomping then Skyshroud Claim is an upgrade for land ramp spell.

Exotic Orchard, Battlefield Forge, Spectator Seating are some land upgrades to consider.

Some upgrades to consider:

Good luck with your deck.

Flagellum on Mono-Black Destroy

Horobi, Death's Wail is the best commander if you want to destroy things. Would require a complete retooling of your deck to fit in things like Baton of Morale or Touch of Darkness. Also, Equipments destroy any creature they attempt to equip as they target. But you could make it really cheap!

If you need an example here's:

I've had a bigass list of cards in Cockatrice for a while that I'm dwindling to a deck. Yours has given me a lot of inspiration!

Can I ask why no Reliquary Tower, Thought Vessel, et cetera?

Do you find having only a few counters is worth it?

Have you thought about Banding at all? Even if just throwing in Fortified Area. Helm of Chatzuk, Baton of Morale, Cooperation are other considerations.

Few other cards I've thought about including: High Ground, Primal Rage, Bow of Nylea, Steely Resolve, Spidersilk Armor (iffy on this one, but just in case?), Noetic Scales, Sterling Grove, As Foretold, Aura Shards, Urza's Incubator, Herald's Horn, Skeleton Key.

Diplomatic Immunity over Glint?

You have a very low avg. CMC, but I find it hard not to include Chromatic Lantern in any multicolored deck. Do you do well without much mana rock ramp?

Do you think changelings are wolfy enough? Chameleon Colossus and maybe Changeling Titan. Baton of Morale would simulate pack tactics. Soul Foundry is a favorite of mine with decks like this and it gets extra synergy with your token doublers. Knighthood doesn't sound wolfy but some wolves are fast man (and its hilarious with your deathtouch cards).

I would consider cutting Sound the Call, Memorial to Unity, Coat of Arms (unless you never play against other tribal decks) and Lone Wolf. Aspect of Wolf has always under-performed for me.

Have you looked for a different commander? If you could find a Naya boss you could throw in Alpha Brawl and bring the wolf to them.

I see what you mean about wanting to be more aggressive, and didn't realize you were trying to limit power to 2 and under. Vigilance definitely seems like a great ability for this deck too, I hadn't considered it as much. Again, I'm VERY new to commander (literally only played 2 games ever so far, but really enjoyed it), so I'm just spitballing here. Hornet Nest seemed like a great defensive card, something to sacrifice to block a powerful attacker and get a ton of bees, or band with something stronger and milk the bees as long as possible.

On the subject: "Banding (Any creatures with banding, and up to one without, can attack in a band. Bands are blocked as a group. If any creatures with banding you control are blocking or being blocked by a creature, you divide that creature's combat damage, not its controller, among any of the creatures it's being blocked by or is blocking."

That means that, say you use the Baton of Morale to give creatures banding, that's done during declare attackers/blockers, and even if a destroy is thrown out there on the baton or creature, the band still persists until the end of combat, even if the "banding" effect is taken away. I've had several of those banding cards for years, so it was one of the first things I thought of. But, if there's too much going on in the deck already, it makes sense to cut. It just seems like an ability most folks won't see coming =D

As far as building my own deck, I don't have anything really organized yet, I have an app on my phone that I used to throw together some cards to have in mind for the deck, but there's over 200 in the list before mana, so I'm literally started at the bottom here. I'll probably mirror your deck for most of it, but since i'll have to buy 80-90% of the cards as it is, I wanna keep the price under $200. I was also looking to buy an angel/lifegain deck for my girlfriend for her birthday, since that's her favorite kind of deck, and so I'm very concerned about flyers =P
