This is a deck mainly focused around a 3-card synergy: Forbidden Orchard + Illness in the Ranks + Toshiro Umezawa . The general idea is to get this engine online and grind out every opponent with repeatable Snapcaster Mage-like activations. Yes, I realize that Snapcaster is infinitely better than Toshiro. However, Toshiro does get more value over time than Snappy, provided he survives.

Oh, the reasons I'm running this deck over regular Grixis Control are as follows:

1. I'm on a budget which doesn't allow for me to spend $1000 on a deck.

2. Grixis often has trouble with token producers such as Lingering Souls or Blight Herder. This deck hoses them by virtue of the maindeck Illness in the Ranks.

3. The deck is insanely fun when you get all three cards on the field at once. The value you generate if you untap with them is insane.

But maybe I'm just crazy and having a $500 "budget" Grixis Control deck would just be better than this.

Needs Sideboard help against Tron and Eldrazi. My biggest fear is an Oblivion Stone that I can't deal with that wipes my combo and leaves me with a 5-color land that gives them free creatures.
