What does has to offer to this archetype?
Lingering Souls is the most important card brought to the table by the splash. It plays perfectly with Grim Flayer and both Lilis and is very powerful by itself in the current meta. In defense, it brings 4 blockers to the table for a single card and is therefore the bane of Infect and other aggressive strategies. In offense, it brings 4 power with evasion, again for a single card. The flashback is of course what makes this card great: you only care half-much if it's inquisitionned away or countered.
Path to Exile is one of the best removal in the format. The 1 mana cost is just great while the downside, in such a fast-paced format, is not that high, especially on turns 3+. Plus, the exiling close makes it perfect against some pesky creatures such as Wurmcoil Engine or Kitchen Finks . However, the coming of Fatal Push makes the need for Path slightly smaller.
Siege Rhino is mocked by many but is a huge beater that comes in with a 6 points life swing, which is nothing to scoff at. Trample is the icing on the cake.
Shambling Vent is a great manland providing lifegain.
is one of the best sideboard color in Modern and provides the archetype with a lot of good options. Anafenza, the Foremost is a fast beater with graveyard hate bonus, Blessed Alliance is huge against Burn/Zoo, Sigarda, Host of Herons is an upgrade to Thrun and Stony Silence is amongst the best artifact hate cards.
