This is meant to be a fun, super budget deck. There are definitely cards you could replace with much more costly alternatives, but these were chosen for their cost.
EDIT:Made a lot of changes, but the core package remains the same. Use Defiant Salvager or Ravenous Intruder to sac low cost creatures and artifacts and bringing back with Pia's Revolution. Reckless Fireweaver pings when they go on the battlefield, Disciple of the Vault pings them on the way out.
Shrapnel Blast and Bone Splinters work as creature hate and sac outlets; Shrapnel Blast even punishes the player if you so choose.
As far as the sideboard goes, Deadlock Trap stays as it is a pretty good answer to Planeswalkers, and with the sac / recursion engine we have, we don't have to worry about running out of energy. We can just sac them and play them again. Bomat Courier can help a lot if our draws are a little slow and we really need to move through our deck.Scrap Trawler can help us get things back from our graveyard if they wind up there for one reason or another. I'm still holding on to Slagstorm for the purpose of board wipes if needed, although I'm not a huge fan of the card. If anyone has a better answer to clear swarms on the battlefield, let me know. On that same note, I'm not married to the idea of Rush of Vitality. More than anything, I thought it could be an answer, like Blossoming Defense, to creature hate. Is that the best card to do it? Is that even the best use of a sideboard slot? I dunno, but it's what I have now. Again, suggestions welcomed!
I also ran across Greater Gargadon, which is very interesting. You can throw it on the field for almost nothing, use it as a sac outlet which could eventually, and perhaps very quickly, result in a massive creature. Im thinking I might add a few to the sideboard for those matches that take a while.
Again, this is supposed to be a budget deck, so there are plenty of good cards that I have opted out of. I'd like to have 4xSpire of Industry. This would allow me to run any implement or puzzleknot I chose, more specifically Cogworker's Puzzleknot. Lot's of artifacts triggering card:Reckless Firewearver and so on.
EDIT: Ratchet Bomb to replace Slagstorm on the sideboard for a board wipe, maybe? It's a little dangerous in that it might risk taking out Pia's Revolution, but I guess that just means you have to be careful when you play.
