matchgrizzle Deckling

I love this game. I'm not super competitive, I really love fun, interesting decks. I'm not partial to a format, I rarely brew in a particular one. I started for about a year in New Phyrexia and stopped after Innistrad and I just started up again around the release of Kaladesh and have no plans of stopping. Again, I mainly play casual, but I'm working my way towards some actual tournament play. If you like anything I've made or have a suggestion, let me know!

Anointed Procession is the exact same card as Parallel Lives, the latter would fit in your color scheme.

For sure, thanks for the reply. Sounds like a lot of fun. Mardu is my favorite color combo right now and it's cool to see a good one that isn't Mardu Vehicles. :)

No, I'm not trolling. I'm new to tappedout. I didn't see that it was Standard. I also said, "I don't know if you're trying to stay in a particular format" just in case I missed something because I know Theros block isn't standard. Just trying to be helpful, didn't mean to rustle everyone's feathers.

I'm surprised that the Platinum Emperion doesn't just get utterly blown away. I love this deck idea, and I've been trying to make a Mardu control deck for a while, but I'd just be worried that PE would get a lot of hate. I mean, Path to Exile right? Or Anguished Unmaking or Murder? Seems like it's too easy to get rid of to lean on.

I'm not trying to hate on your deck, I'm just legitimately interested in how you deal with some of the more common creature hate. :) Could you maybe quickly go through one of your matchups for me?

And I would agree with some of the people in the comments: Kolaghan's Command and Lightning Helix are really good in Mardu if you haven't considered them.

I would definitely throw in a few Parallel Lives. That should pretty much cut your time in half as you'll be getting twice the scion tokens. That'll be especially amazing if you've got Cryptolith Rite, which I definitely think you should use as well. I'm not sure how that fits in with your deck's pace, but that's a shitload of little dudes and a shitload of mana.

Hey there! I like the build, I'm a big fan of Izzit decks, I don't know why. Anyway, a lot of good suggestions in the comments here, so I thought I'd add one more that just came out with Amonkhet. Enigma Drake fits nicely in here with the rest of your creatures. Almost exactly like Spellheart Chimera, so you can basically have 8 if you like it enough lol.

Well depending on the situation, I would try to only cast it if you had a decent amount of mana on the board. But, for example, if you get an attack in with Neheb, the Worthy and you have Avacyn's Judgment in hand, you can discard it, and then dump all of your mana into it. So if you had 6 mana on the board, you could potentially discard it after hitting with Neheb, and pay the madness cost 1 and then for the, dealing 5 damage split between any creatures or players, or just hit one person with all 5. That would probably be best case scenario, but at worst you can still hit for 2-3 most of the time. Anyway, hope that made sense, hope it helps!

Stun Sniper would work if you don't care about the set. Oh, and Merciless Javelineer works well too, especially if you have Fiery Temper to discard to it.

Looks pretty solid! I would, however, take a look at adding Ahn-Crop Crasher in there somewhere. Avacyn's Judgment is another potentially powerful madness card you might want to check out. Lastly, with any amount of discard mechanics in your deck, you might consider Faith of the Devoted. I could see that adding up to quite a lot if the game goes a little long.

I don't know if you're trying to stay in a particular format, but Kragma Warcaller seems like a pretty good addition. A little pricey from a mana standpoint, but can really close a game out quickly.
