Ok so abzan/junk Is very popular lately and I run jund....I'm making this to see what I can come up with with! Jund ain't dead (PAX EAST) is the deck that this is being compared to
Alright so i want to make this my primary go to modern deck.... I bought Dark Confidant just to make it faster and its proven to be a good investment. I could as much advise as possible for improveing the deck. Do i have enough removal? Is my deck having mana problems?
my sideboard strong enough for twin, affinity, delver (grixis, rug, and usa versions), vengevine, tron, and control?
Card choices:
Creatures:Dark Confidant : his 2/1 body allows you to swong fairly aggressive but what really makes him so valued is the fact he gains you cards for every turn he survives. This deck that means taking 0-5 damage but it must be done to stay ahead of aggro and keep up with control
Voice of Resurgence : 2/2 elemental that very easily can be a danger for blue players. Makes casting that Remand a lot more taxing when it gives me an x/x elemental token that can get pretty big. Plus it makes one when it dies so 2-1 the opponent.
Knight of the Reliquary : 2/2 base body that simply will get bigger and can find you the utility your looking for.
Scavenging Ooze : 2/2 that can fight goyf's size and ruins any snappy with his ability to shrink the yard for one green. Plus if a creature you gain life back
Siege Rhino: top of the curve monstrosity that can stablize the game nicely.
Removal:
Abrupt Decay: blue cant counter it and most dangerous threats in modern are costing 3 mana or less. Those things that decay cant hit can still be delt with
Path to Exile i dont want your creature to exist.... Have land? Lands wont matter once the game goes far enough into the midrange strategy. But still be careful too not just waste them early one allowing decks like twin to win sooner
Dismember a catch all removal spell that can safely kill most reall threats decay wont be able to touch such as man lands rhino, tasigur, dragons
Maelstrom Pulse ik sorcery speed and 3 mana but hey it gets tokens nicely and can kill anything we need to be removed like karn....really need karn dead guys....
Thoughtseize for black and 2 life i can remove anything thats not a land in your hand..... Whats not to like? Oh your burn.....wellll i guesssss
Inquisition of Kozilek will do just as well. Its basically Abrupt Decay but to their hand.
Stabilizer:
Lingering Souls we need blockers!!!!! Plus flash back is cool too.....this card buys you a lot of time if used well.
