Sideboard

Maybeboard

This is what I am currently experimenting with in modern. It is a fast paced burn/aggro deck. It's star performers are Monastery Swiftspear, Kiln Fiend, and Vexing Devil.

Total of 15 Bolt effects plus a play set of magma jet (for the scry).

Kiln Fiend + Temur Battle Rage makes for a nasty little combo. With kiln fiend on the field, I cast battle rage targeting the fiend. Kiln fiend's +3/+0 triggered ability goes on top of the stack and therefore resolves before Temur battle rage so by the time it is checking for a ferocious trigger, Kiln Fiend is 4/2 and it gets double strike and trample.

I am hoping WotC will be reprinting Goblin Guide soon (modern masters 2017?) so the prices drop a little and I can afford to replace the Goblin Rabblemasters with Guides.

In the early stages of testing this deck, I had a few nasty run ins with Kor Firewalker and got absolutely wrecked. This inspired me to sideboard some devoid removal like Reality Hemorrhage and Touch of the Void.

Koth of the Hammer and Chandra, the Firebrand provide good end game threats.

Recently, I have been testing the deck with Scab-Clan Berserker in the main board over Chandra, the Firebrand

Match 1 was against a Bant-Eldrazi deck running Noble Hierarchs, Spellskite, and Lone Rider  Flip. Lost 0-2, the life gain messed with this deck a lot.

Match 2 was against a R/U/G control deck playing Thing in the Ice  Flip, Stormchaser Mage, and the spells Manamorphose, Mutagenic Growth, Assault Strobe, and Become Immense. Won 2-1, one game he was mana screwed, and the final game I removed his thing I'm the ice with Flame Slash the turn after he cast it.

Match 3 was a kind of mirror match, he was playing a less budget version of this deck that was Naya with fetch lands, shock lands, Goblin Guides, Grim Lavamancers, Wild Nacatls and Lightning Helix. Lost 1-2, the first game I lost because I had to mulligan to 5 and only had one land until turn 4, the last game I lost because I kept a hand with 4 lands in it.
