This deck has one final goal: Voltron that Toll Collector, and swing in.
4 primary spells make up this deck. Weenie blockers, equipment, burn spells, and card draw. Although the overall CMC of this deck is low, the goal is not to have a strong early game. Set up a small defence, get out your artifacts, and draw cards. Keep that hand full at all times.
Burn sparingly. This is only to make sure no opponent creates an overwhelming threat. The two largest dangers in PDH will be flying commanders, and "Ulamog's Crusher."
Artifact destruction is a thing. So pieces like Whispersilk Cloak should not be played immediately. Save that and "Temur Battle rage" in your hand until late game.
The Toll Commander itself should not come out too early, especially if there are too few equipment pieces out. However, if you have Opal Palace in your opening hand, don't be shy to cast early, and use him as a blocker. Getting those counters on him late game on a second cast will help.
