Ok, so you want to become a Soldier for the White Weenies!

Look Below to see what you can do!

You may want to be on the battlefield, and that is where most soldiers start! We host plenty of types of soldiers here, and below we will go over a few!

Some start as Dryad Militants, due to their previous spiritual experience. They are powerful, and plentiful, and are able to overrun all of their opponents. They also can work to stop tricks that the other soldiers may overlook!

A few of our ground units are Soldier of the Pantheons, who distract our enemies from the other soldiers, seeming powerful from a glance. They are very powerful to an extent, but their training for entertaining crowds in the pantheon has led them to be a great asset to the army as a distraction.

The most deadly of the ground units are the Boros Elite, they have training for looking weaker than they appear, but with the quick sounding of an alarm (Raise the Alarm), suddenly they can destroy our enemies with ease.

One of our more unique of the ground units are the Aegis of the Gods, though technically a ground unit, they are only put into specific battles, against opposing forces that use magic and of the sort. They are specifically trained to get around magic.

If you want to be a captain, we have tons of jobs for you.

Below you can learn about the many types.

The lowest ranked captain, which commonly fights with the ground units is the Precinct Captain. They are powerful in duels, commonly killing enemies before they can react, and they can bring some more soldiers into the battle. They are Captains for a reason after all!

Some of the keystones of the army are the Preeminent Captains, they can win fights just as easily as the Precinct Captains, but they can sneak friends with ease onto the battlefield. They have intense training to become a major asset in battles, building up reinforcements, and can change even the toughest situations in our favor!

Though not named a captain, the Field Marshals are nearly unmatched in the ability to rally up strength, but not through pride or charisma, but instead through intellect. The knowledge of terrain, strategy, and psychology allows the groups that the Field Marshal leads to get the first strike on the battlefield, and the first win for the war.

The highest ranked captain in the Captain of the Watch, and they can win any fight with their troops beside them. They are vigilant and fierce, commonly rallying up enough strength to break through any enemy lines. Don't ever mess with them, or they will mess with you tenfold!

Below are faces of the army, ones that are prestegious to be heard of across many planes!

Kytheon, Hero of Akros  , or more commonly known as Gideon (Gideon, Battleforged) is a leader on the ground, with speed and strength matching even the toughest of our soldiers. When he is in the game, he is our strongest and toughest unit. Stopping large threats, becoming his own threat, and changing the course of battle, that is how Gideon is so well known.

Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit, though more magical than most of our army, can boost up the charisma of any soldier in our army. With stories of bravery, and sticking for one's beliefs made Anafenza the famed hero of the White Weenies she is.

Odric, Master Tactician is the best tool we have for winning a fight through mind instead of might. Able to take down enemies without a scratch on his own, and being able to lead soldiers through any terrain makes Odric a force to be reckoned with in any form of the word.

Brimaz, King of Oreskos, though most known for his status of king, Brimaz is both a soldier and a captain in the army of the White Weenies. Known for bringing vigilant troops of his own to the battlefield, he is as tough as Odric, Master Tactian, being able to trade equal blows. He brings guards with him everywhere able to rally anyone to become one, even further increasing his fame and status in the army.

Darien, King of Kjeldor, is a King with an army of his own, and though not trained for specific tasks, are able to flood the battlefield with reinforcements when called upon. He isn't extremely powerful by himself, but with ten men protecting him, and ten attacking, he is a force to be reckoned with.

Below are phrases that anyone in the army should know, to allow them to react to any situation, and though there are more like Stony Silence, or Fragmentize, below are more common ones:

"Honor of the Pure" is what many times allows command to boost up all of us, with top tier White Weenie Battlemage magic, all of us soldiers can fight at our best!

"Raise the Alarm" is command's way of sending reinforcements, and it is fast acting, when you here it, see see results immediatly, and it can change the turn of battle in extreme ways!

"Path to Exile" is a term that means an enemy threat is going to go, it is when battlemages at command cast a powerful spell to make something disappear from existance, leaving an open plot of land in it's wake. It requires a large amount of focus, so it won't be seen often, but it is one of the most powerful abilities we have.

This is the best soldier tribal deck I think can exist, after large changes over a couple months of work, here it is.

Before I go over the deck, I want to say that this isn't the best deck, nor is it the best soldier heavy deck, but in terms of tribal for soldiers, this is the best I found I could make. If I ran Thalia's Lieutenant or Champion of the Parish and built the deck around them, it would have been a human tribal deck. I would have run cards like Gather the Townsfolk, and it would have changed the whole deck.

This deck is also not just trying to be completely tribal, running every Soldier Lord in the deck or anything, so instead, I made it competitive.

To start with the deck, I want to go over key bodies and spells, and then go over lords/buffs, and then special abilities and combos, ending with the land base and sideboard.

Boros Elite - I was going after getting 2/1 bodies for one mana, but I chose Boros Elite because I use a lot of battalion-like effects in the deck, and it acts like a 3/3 for one mana past turn two.

Soldier of the Pantheon - Excluding the text, it is a great body, including the text, it is a beast, swinging past multicolored cards (useful against Abzan Midrange), and is a slow heal which can be annoying to Lightning Helix, having a card that you can't kill with it, and will heal up if you use it, etc.

Dryad Militant - Like Soldier of the Pantheon, it is a useful body, but it is a great mainboard way to hate on delve, flashback, dredge, etc.

Kytheon, Hero of Akros   - A dream come true, a 2/1 for one, that can use the battalion style trigger to become a 4/4, or a buff, or a targeted removal. The downside is legendary, but if one transforms, the other can come down. It is perfect for this deck in all ways.

Precinct Captain - Just having first strike and a 2/2 body for two is good, being a soldier for tribal benefits is better, and then adding on the token generation makes it a serious board threat. The amount of games then it was overlooked, made three or so tokens, and then won me the game I can't count.

Brimaz, King of Oreskos - Brimaz is almost a lord. It is like Precinct Captain for one more generic mana, but with an extra power, two extra toughness, vigilance instead of first-strike, can summon twice the 1/1 soldiers in a turn-cycle, can summon the soldiers easier (doesn't need to deal damage to the player), the soldiers start off untapped and attacking/blocking, they have vigilance, and with a single Buff/Lord makes it like twice the amount better for its mana cost. With a Field Marshal, you can make a team of 2/2 first-strike, vigilance soldiers, that are almost better than Precinct Captain.

Path to Exile - This card is meant for removal, but can be done on a token you know is about to die, for a bit of ramp, it is a weird combo, but it can work.

Raise the Alarm - At instant speed, dropping these for a surprise blocker for a dark confidant is insanely funny. Building up a board on its own at that mana-cost is unrivaled for soldiers. Though I would like Captain's Call, Raise the Alarm is tons better, with half the price, instant speed, and only a 1/3rd loss in soldiers.

Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit - At two mana, no other lord affects damage for soldiers, so I put in Anafenza, the best one I could find. It works amazingly and can affect Kytheon multiple times due to bolster, to protect him a bit. it might be the best two-drop soldier for this deck.

Preeminent Captain - This isn't technically a Lord, but cheating out a Captain of the Watch turn four can easily win you the game, as well as a Field Marshal, Odric, Master Tactician, or a Brimaz, King of Oreskos. I have even brought out another Preeminent Captain, and then the next turn using the two I had to pull out two more, and then with an Honor of the Pure, and a Field Marshal hard-casted, I just beat face with Preeminent Captains. I won that game.

Field Marshal - This is insane, having a +1/+1 is already good, but then first-strike makes it one of the best lords for soldiers in the game. It does have two downsides, it doesn't buff itself, and it buffs enemy soldiers.

Captain of the Watch - Though it gets cheated out to be useful, it is the best thing to cheat out. It affects only soldiers you control, summons three more, gives +1/+1 to all of your soldiers, gives vigilance to all of your soldiers, and also is a 3/3 vigilance body to top it all off.

Honor of the Pure - It is the cheapest Anthem for white, with the downside of being only for white creatures, but luckily I don't use anything else. It is just great.

Battalion - I put a lot of similar triggers together in the deck, specifically battalion, and though Boros Elite is the only one with the keyword, Ordic, Master Tactician, Windbrisk Heights, and Kytheon, Hero of Akros   are the others.

Odric, Master Tactician - If you ever get him to use his ability, you've won. You have four attackers, can kill whatever you want of theirs, and then kill them. It is a one-of because of the legendary rule, and the expensive cost, but I expect it to be cheated out.

Cheating out cards - Preeminent Captain and Windbrisk Heights are the methods of this, and pulling out a Captain of the Watch, Field Marshal, Brimaz, King of Oreskos, Odric, Master Tactician, or an Honor of the Pure can win the game.

Eiganjo Castle + Kytheon, Hero of Akros   - Protect Kytheon, get a planeswalker, win the game.

Preeminent Captain + Captain of the Watch - Turn 4, enemy concedes before blockers.

Path to Exile + Chump Blocker - Mono-White Ramp

Field Marshal + Brimaz, King of Oreskos - Giant field of 2/2 vigilance first-strikers.

Flagstones of Trokair + Flagstones of Trokair - Tutor for a Plains, and then you have a higher chance of finding more useful items from the library. May not be great against Tarmogoyf.

Boros Elite x 3 - 9 damage turn three. if you drop a Field Marshal turn three, then 12 damage turn three.

Cavern of Souls - Stop some Azorius control.

Windbrisk Heights - Cheats stuff out, easy to use, just starts tapped.

Flagstones of Trokair - Used for cleaning up the library, and being a normal plains for any other purpose.

Horizon Canopy - A bit of a pain land, and great card draw!

Eiganjo Castle - A plains that can just help out Kytheon, Hero of Akros  , or any of the other fun legendaries.

Snow-Covered Plains - Because you need some basics, so might as well get these.

Brave the Elements - Great against targetted removal, getting around damage from creatures, and hitting past them!

Fragmentize - Cheap Removal for non-creature permanents, cheap in mana cost and in real life, I love it!

Aegis of the Gods - Messes with things like thoughtseize, inquisition, or burn, though with burn it isn't too hard to deal with.

Rest in Peace - Maximal graveyard hate at two mana, great!

Stony Silence - A bit of artifact hate, mostly for affinity and the likes.

Luminarch Ascension - A great way of hating on control, which is important considering how bad a matchup control is.

Darien, King of Kjeldor - Messes with poke-based (small damage in increments) creature decks, this is a fun option to Captain of the Watch, it can also be a mind-bender with burn if they can't Lightning Bolt it first.

For a competitive human/soldier based tribal deck based off of this in modern ($591) Human Soldiers

For a budget version ($15) Budget Soldier Tribal Modern

For a pauper version ($9) Pauper Army

For a commander version ($256) Commander of the White Weenies

(I want to make a version that can win at Modern Monday, but isn't as expensive, not budget, as that won't win almost ever, but still cheaper)

Hey, below let me know what you thought of the deck, and if you want to help it out, how do you think Militia's Pride would do to build a board, I don't have it, and so haven't tested it, but just an idea for the deck!

Similarly, what about the following:

New Updates!

9/20/2017 - Switched out an Aegis of the Gods for a Darien, King of Kjeldor, who is good and scary against poke/burn decks, which deal damage a little over time. And he can be cheated out like a Captain of the Watch.

9/14/2017 - I am going to switch out some really expensive cards out of the deck, not because the cards I am switching in are cheaper (I don't care if this is a 50 billion dollar deck as long as it is good), but instead because the cards I am switching in are better! 2x Horizon Canopy switched for 2x Forbidding Watchtower, and 4x Leyline of Sanctity for 4x Aegis of the Gods
