Mono-Black Reanimator is an incredible Legacy deck. It's fairly low cost and easy to pilot.

The core of Mono-Black Reanimator is, as you would expect, built around Reanimate, Exhume, and Entomb. These three cards are always going to be four-ofs in the deck. Some people play an additional reanimation spell, typically Animate Dead. The second core part of the deck are the reanimation targets. Four Griselbrands used to be the norm, but three is what most people play now. With this list, I am testing using only one. Griselbrand is often your first choice for game-domination because he's hard to race and refills your grip. Griselbrand is not perfect though, and the flying Yawgmoth's Bargain is weak to Karakas and Swords to Plowshares. The other creatures to reanimate all have specific roles to fill, and the slots can be adjusted according to your preference. Iona, Shield of Emeria is your silver bullet against combo decks, and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite is for creature heavy decks. Going against any deck that can't sustain a creature on the battlefield under Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite is one in which you will actively try to reanimate her first. Other than Elesh and Iona, we are gonna try some atypical reanimation targets. Grief is a re-usable Thoughtseize which is a powerful addition. Archon of Cruelty is one of the more impressive black creatures printed in recent history. I like to think that it is immediately prolific and gives several ways to stack your turn. It lets you dig for that much need land or even any of our additional combo pieces. I run Unmarked Grave as a way to specifically search out this card. The mana base is super simple and cheap. I am considering adding some fetch lands in to test a reshuffle and deck thinning if I need it, but so far, I have had nothing but consistency from this deck. We'll work on building a proper sideboard when we get the main deck figured out properly.
