Quandrix Apprentice
Creature — Human Wizard
Magecraft — Whenever you cast or copy an instant or sorcery spell, look at the top three cards of your library. You may reveal a land card from among them and put that card into your hand. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in any order.

It’s worth noting that Rielle, the Everwise will only track the first instance if you discarding a card, so for example in the instance of Lightning Storm will only ever draw you 1 additional card, as each land discard is a seperate trigger.
With this in mind, i’d suggest ditching Rielle, the Everwise, as its usefulness is really limited, and its mana cost is awkward.
I’d also suggest ditching a bunch of your other “gimmicks” to focus on assembling the combo ASAP. Hivestone and Manaweft Sliver are faar too reliant on eachother, and not really needed. Song of Creation feels like it is a nonbo alongside your main plan - you need a full hand, not lands on the battlefield. Quandrix Apprentice also feels pretty “meh”.
Cards to consider:
-
Quirion Ranger can return a land to your hand in a pinch
-
Life from the Loam would be amazing here, but might be outside your budget.
-
the big thing you need is a fast way to get all your combo pieces, otherwise you’ll struggle to ever assemble it. Stuff like Opt, Serum Visions, and Consider are all helpful for this and i’d suggest filling the deck with as many of these as you can fit.

Thanks for your advice. It was really useful.
I had been playing around with the Learn mechanic, utilising Pop Quiz , but for 3 mana, it wasn't cutting it. Essentially, the Lessons are "Get out of jail" cards only: slightly too expensive for their effect but could literally save you the game. So 3 mana for 1 draw and a Lesson wasn't working.
Charge Through isn't a Learn card unfortunately, hence me overlooking it but I did take onboard your advice that Quandrix Apprentice was a truly suboptimal card for this deck and maybe running 4 Snakeskin Veil and 4 Ranger's Guile was too much defense. I mean, its good to keep your critters on the board but that will only get you so far.
I was specifically avoiding using Eldraine cards but they are just too good. Having a spell to cast AND a creature is very good for this deck.
The deck desperately needed a decent 3 drop, so Lovestruck Beast made its way in. Instantly saw a dramatic improvement.
I did actually go for a Learn card: Gnarled Professor . Its 4 mana for a 5/4 Trample creature which has Learn. That's mana efficiency for you right there. Plus every time you copy it with Orvar, you learn a new lesson.

A solid card option I think you may want a couple copies of in your deck would be Charge Through . This card will give you a combat trick that can give trample to your creature for a surprise lethal hit with your Dragonsguard Elite or just serve as a cheap cantrip spell to trigger your cards in play. The spell also doubles as a learn card allowing you to discard draw or grab a lesson card from your side deck. You can take advantage of this to add cards like Containment Breach , Expanded Anatomy , Introduction to Annihilation , or even Mascot Exhibition to give you some card options that may help you pending on board state situation.
Some other options you may want to consider for your deck are Lovestruck Beast and Brazen Borrower . The option to use them for the adventure can be useful for trigger the magecraft skills. Both have a different purpose to be useful as Lovestruck Beast if you lose the 1/1 it makes a good wall and strong fighter target for Blizzard Brawl ; Brazen Borrower serves as a useful disruption spell that can be a decent flying aggressor.
Out of the cards you are running, Quandrix Apprentice seems like your weakest link as most of your spells are reactive defense spells. This means you are not likely just throwing your spells out to help you draw the lands with their skill.
Hope these suggestions help.
