The main win conditions in the deck are the Thopter Foundry + Sword of the Meek combo, Tezzeret, or Jace. Most of the cards focus on drawing out the game and searching for the threats. There is some acceleration in the moxen because the threats are rather mana intensive, or slow to come online, so being able to speed up by a turn is a huge advantage. There is a minor prison theme against creature decks.

The creature deck match-up is fairly easy. Control decks often have a difficult time with the number of important to counter spells. The main deck is weak to combo, so the sb is primarily dedicated to various combos.

Abrupt decay has made this deck more difficult to play, but it is not impossible.
