U/W Thopter Tron, with a great midgame engine!

How it works

This deck has several combos to power through aggro, midrange, and control decks with ease. The core of this deck relies on Gifts Ungiven to efficiently search for a set of two to four cards in order to set up a combo.

A classic setup is Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite + Unburial Rites to quickly and efficiently get a powerful creature into play for only 4 mana!

We have Crucible of Worlds + Tectonic Edge OR Ghost Quarter + Academy Ruins to guarantee some land destruction.

Alternatively, we can simply search up our Tron lands with a Crucible of Worlds and Academy Ruins in play to ensure that you'll have all of your pieces.

Unlike most Gifts decks, this particular deck needs some setup before you can set off an Elesh Norn finisher. Thopter Foundry + Sword of the Meek enables some amazing lifegain and tokens at instant speed. With Tron mana, this can get out of hand very quickly, as you can get up to 7 Thopters and 7 life just by having the Tron combo online.

With so many tokens, we have a lot of options. We could swing for a very wide attack, or we can instead look to Westvale Abbey   for an alternative. A 9/7 creature that is very hard to kill is a great surprise to our opponents.

Sideboard

These sideboard cards enable different strategies that are easy to fetch.

Rule of Law: Slows down Affinity, Burn, and Infect to the point where we can sit back and pick off their creatures with ease.

Ghostly Prison: Also useful for slowing down aggro decks, as well as stopping Kiki-Chord dead.

Iona, Shield of Emeria: Against a non-creature deck like Storm or Ad Nauseum, you'll want Iona over Elesh Norn. Iona's ETB usually cuts out a crucial card to prevent the opponent from doing anything.

spellkite exists to protect our numerous assets from getting hit with spells like Dismember or Path to Exile.

Timely Reinforcements helps stave off aggro if we're up against a faster deck. 6 life and 3 creatures gives us a lot of breathing room.

Disenchant, Mana Leak, Spell Snare: Alternates for the main deck spell slots we have.
