I building a budget modern Izzet Drake deck. I loved my Izzet Drake standard in Standard and I wanted to see what it would look like in Modern. Obviously with the way superior modern cards the strategy changed a little, but I really like were it ended. I wanted to keep the cost under $100 and the cheaper the better.

I am trying to cheat an incredible amount of value out of spell reduction creatures like Baral, Chief of Compliance , Goblin Electromancer , and Curious Homunculus  . This also compliments the budget component of it. There are some great 2 or 3 mana cards that are great but too costly for tier one decks. However, with my creatures reducing there cost they are super powerful.

Another win condition is killing them overhead with Crackling Drake or pinging them to death with Aria of Flame .

I put a strong emphasis on Instants vs Sorceries so that way I could leave up the mana for counters, but not waste the mana if there is nothing worth countering. I love Supreme Will in this deck because it will likely only cost 1 or 2 mana and can either be great card draw or countermagic depending on what the deck needs. I would love suggestions if you have them.

If this wasn't a budget deck I would recommend 2 Snapcaster Mage , Baral instead of the Goblin, and 4 Manamorphose .

I couldn't help not putting in some of the super-powerful cards in a non-budget version of this deck. Here Izzet Drake Modern. Please suggest any expensive cards you think would be good.
