This is such a cool deck. I had a snake build back in Kami but heck if I can remember it anymore : )

I feel like Bala Ged Recovery  ^Flip might be really good with tribe scout. It comes in tapped as a land, but if you are getting extra lands per turn, it might still benefit you, plus you get the really good recursion spell.

And, the explore mechanic might also be good with Sakura-Tribe Scout Path of Discovery could hit you more lands to scout in, buff your creatures, and give you some card selection too if you need it.

I also agree that Beastmaster Ascension might not be the best payoff. Maybe something that buffs one creature instead that you can get through with Kaseto, Orochi Archmage Umezawa's Jitte would probably be ideal, but that price tag is kinda bleh. Might of the Masses is one of my favorite buff spells for just how swingy it can be for one mana. Groundswell might also be good. And you could always test Colossification It looks slow, but who knows, with ramp and deathtouch creatures to slow opponenents down, it might get there.

And maybe Snake Umbra for being on theme and also really good. It does a little bit of everything.

Shisato, Whispering Hunter can be absolutely brutal when he stays on the board. It's not the most fun thing to play, but it's good for sure.

That's about all I can think of. Looks like an awesome collection of herpetofauna and a really fun deck to play : )

Grind on Xyris but You are the Snake

this deck looks like a total blast to play! i want to play it! haha.
Parallel Lives seems like more snakes!!
Kashi-Tribe Elite will give your commander shroud.
Rancor on your commander seems like recurring trample + 2 more damage and 2 more cards to draw is good!
any thoughts about Shisato, Whispering Hunter? seems a little staxxy but you have the snakes.
also Sosuke, Son of Seshiro is another way to buff your tokens.
feels like maybe hasty snakes would be good? Fires of Yavimaya

Updates:

-1 Reliquary Tower. I found I don't often find myself drawing so many cards that reliquary tower is needed.
-1 Tranquil Thicket was replaced with a cycling desert for some synergy with scavenger grounds.
-1 Wildest Dreams is nice for rebuying cards, but that's not really what this deck needs.
-1 Descendants' Path is fine for an extra snake every once in awhile, but doesn't really help the aggro plan. Plus, I found myself wanting some non-creature cards that this puts on the bottom sometimes.
-1 Asceticism is a really, really great effect. However, you have to leave so much mana open to utilize its full effect, and many sweepers in the format ignore regeneration anyways.
-1 Time of Need is a fun card to go tutor up one of the many legends in the deck, but it was just a little too slow in an aggro deck like this.
-1 Shisato, Whispering Hunter. I found myself never really having a big enough board where it would feel ok sacrificing a few snakes. When he does his thing, he's busted, and he'll be moving into my new Xyris deck where he should be much more comfortable.

+1 Scavenger Grounds, +1 Desert of the Indomitable I replaced a couple lands with this small concession to keep graveyard decks honest.
+1 Return of the Wildspeaker Two very relevant modes which are both great in creature-based green decks.
+1 Growing Rites of Itlimoc  ^Flip Cheap cradle which may net a card in the process.
+1 Honored Hydra, +1 Noose Constrictor, +1 Moss Viper. A few ok creatures that all provide a little utility. Some will probably be upgraded to better creatures later on. The slightly higher creature count also allows for Itlimoc to hit more often, thought that is almost negligible.

Not enough danger noodle support. Danger noodles love Seshiro the Anointed, and with so many noodles to spare, I'm pretty sure this deck could just end the game on the spot by dropping Shisato, Whispering Hunter.

No Shisato, Whispering Hunter? If you can get her to connect with Xyris, the affected opponent won't be able to make much use of the cards they just drew. Xyris provides snacks too.

Hi everybody, i'm new in this forum, and my first thread is about my first deck. The idea of this deck is based on Kaminagawa's edition Snakes, who most of them, when inflict damage to a creature, make them TAP and don't UNtap during the opponent's turn, plus using some blu sorcery or instant who can TAP other creatures. The ultimate combo that i have in mind for this deck is to play Shisato, Whispering Hunter , maybe equipped with some Aura or Equipment who give him the protection from abilites or spell, or being unblockable (like Whispersilk Cloack), and then strat attack the opponent, using blue Istant or Sorcery to TAP his creatures (who will not UNtap until Shisato will be able to continue to attack), maybe with Nature's Will in play to also TAP his lands.

The problem is...what type of creatures and spell i need to have, to achieve this result? I've already have this deck, with some snakes who give me mana, like Sakura-Tribe Elder , Coiling Oracle or Orochi Sustainer , some combat snakes like Matsu-Tribe Sniper , Matsu-Tribe Decoy , Sosuke, Son of Seshiro , Seshiro the Anointed , Patagia Viper , Lorescale Coatl or some big snakes like Patron of the Orochi or Hooded Hydra ... but how can i build my deck to work fine? With which type and how many TAP spells?

If you have any suggestions, i'm all listening

What are your thoughts on Shisato, Whispering Hunter ? Only viable in snake tribal and you have ways of giving it haste. Strong blue effect for Golgari deck. Seems viable.

Evolution Sage proliferate would be useful.

Mirri's Guile or Sylvan Library whichever you prefer or can afford.
