goblinguiderevealpls, thanks a lot for your insight! It's true that if any of my decks could run Necropotence with out it taking over a game or the theme of the deck, it would be this one, and your reasoning has me reconsidering it in this particular deck. But what I have a problem with in that card is that all that card drawing power should not cost just 3 mana, even with the life loss it's just not balanced enough imo. Even blue, the color of card draw has very few cards that have similar card drawing power until you get to the x draw spells.
I don't think the fact that this deck is dimir alone will have everyone ganging up on me. I usually only play with 1-3 other people and there has never been a game where anyone gangs up on anyone just because of the colors in their deck. Unfortunately I don't go to FNMs and other occasions really so I don't know how people outside of my friends who play magic react to dimir decks. But if just the color of an opponent's deck is enough to make them not want to play against it and gang up against the user, then I don't want to play with them anyways. Not to mention that I personally think red is the worst color to play against.
I also don't think the comparison of this deck to leovold is completely fair. While I understand that both decks encourage longer games, leovold does this alone, just by being on the battlefield, which can be done EVERY game seeing as you don't have to fetch him and his mana cost is relatively low at 3. On the other hand this combo is probably better at locking people out once it's achieved, but keep in mind that it is a three card combo in a 100 card singleton deck. The combo is not easy to set up and therefore will not affect every game the way leovold does. I've got no problems ending the game via scoop, it's usually how most game I play end up anyways.
I understand that necro/ad naus would probably just speed up a slow process here, and that's why I'm reconsidering them, but if I find that they become too oppressive, they are coming right out.

Thanks SlavicGhaespar and Venomous08, I appreciate the advice! When I was building the deck, all the creatures that seemed the most useful were wizards so I kind of just ran with it. If you were thinking of me adding Coat of Arms or other similar cards, I'm not sure it's necessary or the direction I want to take the deck in. But if you have creatures in mind that you think would be better than any of the creatures I have, I would love to hear about them!
Herald of Anguish is definitely a card I've been considering, and I'll give it a try. I think Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre is worth considering too, but I feel it should be said that this combo kind of prevents me from even being able to mill myself (at least to lose this way) because I can't actually draw cards. I believe the rules say that if you would draw a card when there are no cards in your library, then you lose but it doesn't say much about revealing cards from the top of your library and putting them into your hand. Still, Ulamog could be useful if not just to shuffle my graveyard into my library to recover those cards and keep the card advantage going. Again, I appreciate the insight, and hope y'all are enjoying the C17 deckbuilding as much as I am!
