Hey there I'm skoobysnackz. I've been playing magic since the end of 2015. I started out playing only modern and lots of control decks, which is still my favorite strategy. However, I now also play much more casual, combo oriented decks in both modern and commander/EDH. My favorite creatures are Hypnotoad , and Puff the Magic Dragon . Here are links to my modern decks that are centered around them: All Glory to the Hypnotoad, and Puff the Magic Dragon. My favorite color combos are Esper (), Sultai (), and Grixis (), with Temur () close behind. My favorite commander at the moment is Muldrotha, the Gravetide , here is my take on the deck: Tidal Grave, and here's the budget version: Budget Muldrotha. If you like any of my decks don't hesitate to let me know, especially if you have suggestions. I'd like to mention, though, that there are a few cards I will almost always exclude from my decks: Emrakul, the Aeons Torn , Liliana of the Veil , Mana Drain , Force of Will , Necropotence , and Ad Nauseam . I feel that these cards are too unbalanced and take the fun out of the games they appear in, but I will not hold it against anyone else for playing them. Finally, I think it is important to say that if you like any deck (not just mine) enough to put it into a folder, or to comment something like "nice deck", just give the deck an upvote. It costs you nothing and shows the deck is appreciated.

After reading over all the reasons for and against, I personally think they should not be kept. The reasons for not keeping them seem like this would resolve issues that a typical user can't resolve on their own whereas the problems with not keeping them can be fixed pretty easily. I don't think the problem with card types is a big one because a lot of people use custom categories now anyways. Yes it takes more time, but it is relatively simple to do. The issue with the cmc is a little more problematic, but if there is one side you use considerably more, then I believe there is an alternate cmc function in the deck editor. I've never used it, so I don't know how reliable it is, but it can be done. I also wanted to point out that getting rid of the individual submissions and going back to using the // format makes it easier to import decklists from other sources, since most of them use // and not /.

Honestly, I'm a bit confused at your choice of cards. With 4x Pestilent Spirit , I would think you would go for damage spells which gain deathtouch like Fiery Cannonade instead of -X/-X like Golden Demise and Cry of the Carnarium which won't kill anything with toughness over 2. I get that Adanto Vanguard is probably who you're targeting with these, but I would think that Moment of Craving would be enough for that.

Rekindling Phoenix is a great option. I really like discard at the moment, especially in grixis because there are so many options. Disinformation Campaign is really good alongside Thought Erasure , and even better if you change Ionize to Sinister Sabotage . Grixis also has access to Angrath, the Flame-Chained , Carnival / Carnage (in a week or so), Discovery / Dispersal , and The Eldest Reborn . Also, I can easily see aggro decks running all over this, I would run some number of Ritual of Soot or some kind of wrath effects with additional ones in the sideboard.

Thanks Femme_Fatale! Honestly I don't really mind if it's one slash or two as long as its consistent among all split cards. No worries about the cmc as far as I'm concerned.

I have noticed that the split cards from RNA seem to cause issues with the deck editor. It seems as though the editor wants the card name to be entered with only one "/" between the card names. However, once the deck is saved, some of them immediately display the "//" in the decklist. When going to edit the list, for whatever reason, if you try to re-save, it is unable to because the split cards have the two slashes instead of one and it can't recognize the cards. It's not a huge problem to get around because I can just go and delete the extra slash, but I figured it could get kind of annoying after a while. Is there anything that can be done about this?
