Grave Strength

Sorcery

Choose target creature. Put the top three cards of your library into your graveyard, then put a +1/+1 counter on that creature for each creature card in your graveyard.

Shimmering Wings on goldspan in infinite storm count as just the 2 card combo so easy wish board include. Underworld Breach is typically better in this style where your gy fills up lets every 3 cards in you gy be traded for card draw until you win (which the deck seems to sturggle with). Grave Strength if paired with underworld breach makes your creature solidly chonky and also lets you fully deck yourself if you wanted to go with a cleaner thoracle finish alternative to grapeshot (grapshot still works tho).

I like Unleash Fury. Its cheaper than Rush of Blood which was what I was considering.

I like Carrion Feeder and Viscera Seer because they're fast. I was toying with stuff like Bloodflow Connoisseur, Bloodthrone Vampire, Vampire Aristocrat, and Blood Bairn.

What do you think of Soulshriek and Junkyo Bell? They not only buff Juri, Master of the Revue but also pop him to potentially finish off an opponent with commander damage.

I was also considering cards like Howl from Beyond, Grave Strength, Enrage, and Balduvian Rage.

Have you considered running Reprocess? Its a great way to get those Juri, Master of the Revue triggers and some card draw.

Even though Champion of Stray Souls is costly to get out it would be really cool to keep swapping your graveyard and battlefield dudes for Juri, Master of the Revue triggers lol.

Necromancer's Ascendancy

Create a 2/2 black Zombie creature token.

You may have a zombie you control fight target creature an opponent controls.

Put the top three cards of your library into your graveyard. Put a +1/+1 counter on each zombie creature you control for each creature card in your graveyard.

It'd be great in an Innistrad set. This card could be common, imo, as the only complex part is the and it's just Grave Strength for all your zombies (oh, the flaaavor). That card was printed at uncommon because it's strong for limited, not because it's difficult to understand or use. I think this is gonna be a limited bomb in black.

Create another cool Innistrad saga.

TheSlowestBro on First Deck need help tweaking it

I don't want to comment too much on your deck, I'd rather give some tips on how you can take a critical look at it and identify ways you can tweak it yourself. I will highlight some cards I don't think fit and the reason for why.

First of all there are mainly 4 types of decks in magic: 1. Aggro decks: these decks look to close out the game within the first 5 turns by playing cheap minions and establishing a board presence before the opponent is able to muster a defence. 2. Midrange decks: these decks play efficient creatures and spells and look to win the game a few turns later with larger creatures. 3. Control decks: these decks look to take control of the game slowly and often win many turns later. 4. Combo decks: decks that look to assemble a certain combination of cards that either win the game immediately or set up a board state that is more or less unanswerable.

Looking at your deck I would say it falls more under the midrange style. Let's look at your cards and see if any of them do not fit into this category. Winds of Qal Sisma is a card I would say is more control, and though control cards might be fine in some midrange decks to combat the fast aggro decks, I think this one doesn't really serve any meaningful purpose here.

Other things to consider are how well do the cards in your deck work together with each other, Grave Strength is a card that synergizes with your +1/+1 strategy, however you are only running 10 creatures, so it's odds of having a powerful effect is quite low. I would either cut this card or add more creatures to increase it's consistency. Another example would be your inclusion of cards with the "Ferocious" keyword, you are not running any cards with power 4 or greater, of course with +1/+1 counters you can activate this, but that means for you to obtain "Ferocious" you need 2 or more cards already so that one can buff the other, I would consider either cutting these cards or adding some stronger creatures so you can more consistently achieve the "Ferocious" buff.

Next I see you are only running 19 lands, in my opinion the only decks that can get away with running such a low land count are hyper-aggressive / "burn" decks that only run 1-3 cost cards. Since your deck is a bit slower than that you need to run enough lands to consistently. A general rule is to run 24 lands in all decks (a few less if it's an aggro deck and a few more if it's a control deck). When I first started playing magic I had a tendency of adding too few lands into my decks, and while lands are not as interesting as cards with text on them, not being able to cast those cards because of mana screw feels bad.

To summarize; magic is a game with inherent randomness as it is a card game and you are at the mercy of your draws, however this randomness can be mitigated by making card choices that work well together on a consistent basis and including enough lands to cast said cards!

You might have noticed how many times I used the word "consistent" and that is in essence one of the cores of deck building, you want your deck to pull off whatever it's game-plan is as often as possible.

Hope this wall of text has been of some use to you! =)

So I'm not sure how fast you want this deck to operate, but the inclusion of Grim Return worked fairly well for me. I was able to return Street Wraith on multiple occasions and I gained board advantage quickly. Grave Strength worked well also, but at Sorcery speed, It's up to you how you want the deck to play. The version of the deck I tested can be found here: https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/lowlands-copy/?cb=1549976298

Here's a list of recommendations that I am going to test out:

First Category: Actually good cards

Bloodbond March

Grave Strength

Grim Return

Second Category: Funny cards

Measure of Wickedness

Doom Whisperer

Deadbridge Chant

Living Dead

Rise of the Dark Realms

My thoughts (for what they're worth):

I think I see your plan: play a lot of dudes that can come back from the graveyard alongside board wipes (After all, Gravecrawler, Dread Wanderer, Graveyard Marshal, and Lord of the Undead all key off of that). It seems like a strong play once you're 10 turns in, but we should take advantage of the fact that your creatures can be played from the graveyard because that, in essence, means they are in your hand when they're in your graveyard. The more things that are there are in the graveyard, the more options you have to cast.

Maybe run a few of any of the following to help fill your graveyard faster: Entomb, Buried Alive, Corpse Churn, Grave Strength, Liliana's Indignation, Liliana, Death's Majesty, Stitcher's Supplier. Any of those will help fill your yard more quickly, letting you play with your synergies without needing to play a board wipe.

Alternately, look into Cryptbreaker as a way to draw cards.

Also, if budget isn't an issue, you could run Damnation instead of Languish, though Languish still does kill indestructible creatures with 4 or less toughness... Damnation is more versatile though (which might be why it's a $25 card :P )

Sh1ftyL0ck3 on help with a mono black …

I've always considered Read the Bones to be better than sign in blood since it gives you the scry. It'll help to even out the mana curve a bit more, too.

For removal, I'd suggest Murderous Cut. It can hit anything, and the delve will help you cut noncreature spells out of your deck, allowing you to power both Grave Strength and Liliana's Indignation while cutting out Read the Bones, since you don't want to shoot yourself to much.

If you want more creature based card draw, Phyrexian Gargantua and Phyrexian Rager have the same effect as Dusk Legion Zealot.

Phyrexian Delver would be a good addition. In case you milled a creature you want, you can get it back. It does shoot you though, so I'd run no more than two in the deck.

Most importantly though, you'll want Nighthowler. It's a cheaper Revenant that also sees your opponent's graveyard. The only downside is the fact it doesn't fly. If that becomes an issue, you can bestow the Nighthowler onto the Revenant.

This seems like an incredibly fun deck idea, and I hope this helps!
