To start off: Hardened Scales, Bear Umbra and Ordeal of Nylea. You do allot with just one counter, make use of it! And bear umbra or ordeal of nylea not only means counters but also a free extra Jenara abilities each turn.

Then we have allot of +1/+1 synergy in this deck, but allot of them are single use or difficult to get.

Are you building for FNM or casual? If casual, you could probably get away with any Planeswalker as your Commander.

But if you didn't know, on Aug 10th, 2018 WOTC will be releasing a new Commander set focused on Planeswalkers again.

  • AUGUST 10, 2018 Choose your commander and carve your path to victory in this unique multiplayer Magic format. Call on powerful planeswalkers and deploy their signature strategies to make sure you're the last player standing.

It looks like there's only four this time, so chances are very good that we are looking at two-color Planeswalkers minimum. But considering they specifically mention "signature strategies", I'm calling it right now that we will probably be getting at least one three-color 'walker.

Basing this on the fact that the more colors you add, the more strategy you need to win. It's not so blunt and straight-forward anymore.

So, keep this in mind while designing as it's about seven weeks away and it'd really suck for you to design and even buy a deck that might fundamentally change.

But I'm going to tell you this: I absolutely love Superfriends. I play Modern and I currently have quite a few. Not all are on this site so I can't link them, and about half are private. But I have:

I am also currently designing Rakdosfriends, and after that I want to challenge myself with Mardufriends because that's going to be super hard.

The reason I say all of this is because, to be absolutely fair, there's really only ONE combination you need to win. You can win on T6 without ramp, T5 with decent ramp, T4 with extremely well fine-tuned ramp, and it's even technically possible to win on T3 or sooner with insane ramp. In fact, with the perfect hand, it's a T2 win if you know how to get Doubling Season out T1 and produce on T2.

Honestly, I don't really see the point of the planeswalkers.

Huatli, Radiant Champion is really for token decks, where you will be getting a lot of creatures out.

Ajani, Valiant Protector is a bit borderline for what he does.

Karn, Scion of Urza is slow to get going, and once you do get him going, you're either dead, dying, winning, or won.

You might want to drop them and add some moe angels like Serra Angel.

I definitely want Cyclonic Rift, just gotta buy it :P. I think at this point I'm more unsure of what I would replace for Cultivate and Explosive Vegetation. These are the cards that I feel are more place holders at this time, let me know what you think:

Ajani, Valiant Protector - Definitely fits the +1/+1 counter theme and has potential to be an amazing game changer, just feel there might be something more useful as many other things give counters.

Arrest - Super useful as it squelches abilities also, but if my stuff is already impervious because of Avacyn, Angel of Hope and Shalai, Voice of Plenty it becomes sorta useless.

Blackblade Reforged - Again potential to be a massive game changer, but will be targeted almost immediately and isn't as useful until late game anyway.

Sleep - perfect for creating openings and finishing off players, but is best played only at the end of the game.

Activate Timestream navigator, then activate Ajani. Cast Timestream and repeat for infinite turns.

Alright, so Arahbo isn't all that great with loads of artifacts. Arahbo is a tribal general,so play into that theme a bit more.You really should run more creatures and ramp, I think. Your land count is fine, maybe even high. You've got 4 ramp spells and 3 Rocks.

Artifacts: I'd trim a few to get just rocks (You're running 3) and good equipment. Things to keep would be Sword of the Animist, Boots/Greaves, Bloodforged Battle-Axe and Heirloom blade. You want things which provide advantage beyond combat and are useful on any creature. I'd suggest Selesnya Signet, Commander's Sphere, Selesnya Cluestone and Mind Stone as they provide ramp and late game draw. Pillar of Origins is also an option. As for the maybeboard, I'd add only Thaumatic Compass  Flip and Vanquisher's Banner.

Creatures: This is one of those weird tribes where they have options, but not enough. I think Felidar Sovereign and Regal Caracal are great for you. I also like Mirror Entity and Chameleon Colossus. If there're any clones or things like Polyraptor you can use, I'd suggest looking into it.

Enchantments: Authority and Sigarda's Aid aren't that great here. Aid wants to be in a Sram or Balan deck, Authority wants a different format. I'm not sold on Zendikar's Resurgence either. I've limited experience with it outside of discarding it. I'd suggest running Quest for Renewal as I think you're aggressive enough for it. Growing Rites and Overwhelming Splendor are fine here, I think. I'd also suggest Growing Ranks, Beastmaster Ascension and anthem effects like Gaea's Anthem, True Conviction, Spear of Heliod, Collective Blessing, so on and so forth.

Instants: I think you're fine here. Settle the Wreckage and Selesnya Charm could be nice.

Planeswalkers: Ajani, Caller of the Pride could be fun. Ajani, Mentor of Heroes and Ajani, Valiant Protector also have uses here.

Sorceries: I don't think the maybeboard options are any good for you. Overrun is a oneshot anthem, and Appeal to Authority is a meh combat trick. I also dislike Harvest Season, Hunter's Prowess, Soul's Majesty and Rout. You should consider Sylvan Scrying, Wrath of God, Rishkar's Expertise, and stuff like Primal Command, Dromoka's Command, Righteous Confluence, Verdant Confluence, Crib Swap, etc. You really want versatility and some removal.

Feel free to test and play around with these or other cards. Don't feel like you need to cut something that's working just because I say so.

shadowinquisiterofdoom24680 I like the idea of putting Thing in the Ice  Flip into the deck, but I'm unsure as to what I take out for it and how many to include. I also feel like I'd be boarding it out for times that I bring Ajani, Valiant Protector in, because it disrupts our own combo. I was also thinking about taking Time Reversal out for a Temporal Trespass, to take out non-turn taking cards from the elixir loop.
