Note that the Conspiracy sets, while printed as boosters after 8th edition, are not considered for modern because they were in a supplemental product. Planeswalker deck cards like Ajani, Valiant Protector are legal in modern (though not very good). The test is was this (a) printed after 8th edition (b) into the standard format.

I will probably side board the oath along with Ajani, Valiant Protector thanks for the input.

Hello. I don't know why I'm looking at the support decks first, but I guess I am. Personally, I don't think that Gideon is meant for a life-gain support theme. I think he's more meant for Soldiers like he was used for originally. Personally, I would make a white weenie build out of him with Raise the Alarm, Captain of the Watch and Sun Titan, so essentially white soldiers. With a few changes to the Jace deck, Gideon's Avenger could also synergize really well between the two decks.
If you decided to stick with the life-gain support deck for Gideon, I might recommend another copy or two of Call the Gatewatch and/or Gideon's Resolve to make sure you have access to one of planeswalkers.

I expect I'm not the first person to say this but I want to make Commander decks for the Archenemy: Nicol Bolas set. I figure it would be a lot of fun and something nifty to have.
I will be wanting all decks in paper, as that's when they will be played. I will want them (semi)balanced, as in the Archenemy doesn't win every game but has a good chance.
I figure this also gives me an opportunity to add Gatewatch members that aren't playable in the box set. Ajani, Jace, and Liliana are all missing.
Doing this creates a Commander decision issue. Would I use the creature cards? If I did that, Ajani couldn't have a deck.
- Nicol Bolas
- Kytheon, Hero of Akros Flip
- Jace, Vryn's Prodigy Flip
- Liliana, Heretical Healer Flip
- Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh Flip
- Nissa, Vastwood Seer Flip
There is also the possibility of using their namesake cards as the Commander. This would give it a better feeling of Planeswalkers battling as each would at least be in the Command Zone and would be much easier to cast each game.
- Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker
- Gideon Jura
- Jace Beleren
- Liliana Vess
- Chandra Nalaar
- Nissa Revane
- Ajani Goldmane
Along the same line of using a Planeswalker as the Commander, I could just pick their best version to use that.
The question would then be, what to do for Nissa and Ajani? Would I use Mono Walkers, or their Multi colored cards for more variety. What supports this idea is that Nissa's Precon deck is .
I believe Ajani would probably be the better strategy, but fits thematically as that was the Walker released in the Ajani v. Bolas Duel Deck.
Anybody have thoughts, opinions, help to offer? Commander choices will be important, whether the decks have other Planeswalker cards in them matters, overall deck strategy for each character would help.

I like Ajani, Valiant Protector because its +2 gives me counters to put on creatures which will greater my control. I also already own it, and I need a deck to put it in. God-Pharaoh is super expensive. Nicol bolas, the deceiver is still good because I can destroy target creatures with his -3, and they have to sacrifice a creature/ discard/ take 3 life with his +3. But I do appreciate your comment :)

Garruk Wildspeaker will help with mana control and also adds to the "beast" theme.

Well at first, 20 land isn't enough for any ramp deck, 23-24 is right amount.
When HOU comes out you have to have answer for Solemnity as it wrecks all decks like this.
I don't see why you play Evolving Wilds in mono colored deck.
Ajani, Valiant Protector Just isn't worth to play really, ultimate doesn't even usually win the game if opponent has removal spell, and standard decks plays usually lot of removal.
Aetherwind Basker Isn't really that good, there are better options like Oran-Rief Hydra, Honored Hydra or if you want to stick with elf theme (You even play Metallic Mimic) Gladehart Cavalry isn't too bad.
There are things that i come up with at first, have fun playing!
