Ajani's Aid

Enchantment

When Ajani's Aid enters the battlefield, you may search your library and/or graveyard for a card named Ajani, Valiant Protector, reveal it, and put it into your hand. If you search your library this way, shuffle it.

Sacrifice Ajani's Aid: Prevent all combat damage a creature of your choice would deal this turn.

Soul Warden / Soul's Attendant are good for pumping your Ajani's Pridemate .

Also Twinblade Paladin could be good. (i don't have any experience playing this kind of deck, although i can still see ways to improve it.)

I would also consider taking out Ajani's Aid , and Ajani, Valiant Protector , and replacing it with something like Squadron Hawk . Squadron Hawk will get you out more creatures to trigger Soul Warden to pump Ajani's Pridemate if you decide to add Soul Warden or Soul's Attendant .

Thanks for tips lordnathan21! That all makes a lot of sense. And yeah I'll probably forget the tokens and get some more cheap kitties in there. I was kinda overlooking Arahbo's second ability.

Good call on Ajani's Aid ! I originally had Ajani, Valiant Protector in there. I'll either cut both, or possibly swap Vivien for Ajani, Valiant Protector ...

There's a reason that those other decks are mostly running equipment, since you can re equip it if the creature dies. That doesn't make enchantments bad at all, there's just more synergy with a lot of existing cats.

I'd suggest cutting the token theme, since it's much slower to get up and running compared to dropping a few weak creatures and pumping them up. You may consider trying to lower the curve a little bit and include more low cost creatures and buffs. If you have a 1/1 and can give it +3/+x, with enough to activate Arahbo, you are suddenly dealing 8 damage with just that 1/1 creature. Sure, casting something like Phantom Nishoba and doubling it's power does work, but not until you've spent 5-7 turns building up mana.

You should have a Sol Ring in every EDH deck. It's too good, and too cheap compared to something like Privileged Position . I'd also cut Blanchwood Armor , Ajani's Aid (since you don't have the card it references, it's not much more than a Fog your opponent knows about), and most of your higher CMC cards.

Seht's Tiger is a very solid cat, it's not often you'll find what is basically a counter spell in white. Also add in Temur Sabertooth . That can not only save some decent creatures, but also make a strong attacker, and let you recast things with ETB effects.

Hey, this is a really nice deck! Do you have any alternatives to Ajani's Aid and Visage of Bolas if we were to change the planeswalkers to Ajani Unyielding and Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh respectively? I have those cards and would really want to use them in this deck.

Your Commander's colour identitiy is Black-Blue-Green, therefore Ajani's Aid is an illegal card in your deck. (it has white in it)

Renegade Rallier can only bring back permanents CMC 2 or lower. Just so you know. So no Ajani's Aid.

Don't run Ajani's Aid unless you have some huge combo with Ajani. Also don't run Ajani's Comrade because you only have 1 Ajani.
