A fun engine deck I thought up for Pioneer. I somehow just now realized that Deathrite Shaman was legal in Pioneer, so I decided to make a deck revolving around him. Sacrificing creatures and discarding other cards for different abilities of creatures ends up in your favor, because all cards will be used somehow. Pharika allows you to make tons of little snakes by exiling creatures from the graveyard, and along with Vraska, you can pull off her last ability to ensure that when your weenies get through, it's GG! There are some other threats that will put your opponent off, like Xenagos, Ugin, and Liliana. As far as control goes, it's a very aggressive control. We have Dictate of Erebos for putting your opponent's creatures at bay. This works brilliantly with Tymaret, the Murder King because you use him to sacrifice your creatures to either poke at a player for 2-damage at a time, or return him from the graveyard to the battlefield. When this is happening, your opponents are basically getting punished....twice. That is a fun engine to work with, dirty and mean but also fun! Lotleth troll has also been thrown in the mix because of his ability to discard creature cards for him to get +1/+1 counters. In return, this is a very viable engine for Shaman.
