Sideboard

Maindeck:

Our main gameplan is gatting out creatures with a high converted mana cost (cmc) for cheap and abusing abilities involving these creatures for big value.

The Expensive Boys:

The Best out of our expensive boys is Skyshroud Cutter. Getting a 4-cmc guy for 0 mana is unsurprisingly, pretty good. Two notes on Skyshroud Cutter; his cost of a 5-point life swing is obsolete in this deck. Also, dont be fooled by his looks; he can be cheated out using Rimewood Falls, since it is classified as a forest. Not only are Hooting Mandrills good beaters, they are also pretty cheap. With all of our cantrips, they can be easily cast for 1-2 mana. Note that only colorless mana can be reduced here, that green mana pip is un-negotiable. Finally is Scornful Egotist. Scornful Egotist is the simplest out of the group. 4 mana for 8. However, keep in mind that he has 0 cmc when face-down. Also note that his payment is two-step. You can morph him on 3, and have a easy expense later.

The Payoffs:

What is the payoff to all this nonsense? Well, in case you wanted big mana, I got you covered. Energy Tap and Metamorphosis can, in conjunction with our expensive guys, get us big mana. Did you want cards? Rush of Knowledge gives big cards.

The Beaters:

It is pretty hard to come back from your opponent slapping down Eldrazi Devastator or a Maul Splicer, so lets play those. Eldrazi Devastator eats Ulamog's Crusher and has synergy in our sideboard. Bonus points to Maul Splicer since it is not a creature we necessarily care about tapping or sacing to get mana. It of the Horrid Swarm and Wretched Gryff are in the middle between our beaters because they bridge the gap between our "expensive" creatures and our previous beaters. One or two of our Emergers can still take over the game by themselves.

Cantrips + Landbase:

10 cantrips makes our deck more consistent, and cards like Ponder and Brainstorm can be boosted with Ash Barrens and Evolving Wilds.

Sideboard:

Ram Through - Definitely the best and most interesting sideboard card. Ram Through is sweet in this deck. With all of the trample in the deck, it can be used with an Eldrazi Devastator to be a kill-you burn spell, or just good removal. Our trample is on Devastator; but also on Maul Splicer and on Hooting Mandrills. 100% board this in; only reason it isn't in the deck is because this type of removal can just end up with being dead cards against control decks or bogles. (Psst, it can blow out a bogles player if you ram through a 0/1 Plant or a 1/1 Soldier)

Maul Splicer + Eldrazi Devastator - Maul Splicer and Eldrazi Devastator are our best win-cons. If our opponent is running "board damage" (ex. Pestilence) than we go up on Devastators and down on Splicers. If they are running single target cards (ex.Victim of Night or Bone Shards) we go up on Splicers and down on Devastators.

Broken Bond and Nature's Claim - Because of affinity. Even after Sojourner's Companion's banning. Broken Bond allows another land drop which is sweet and Nature's Claim is hyper-efficient.

Stern Dismissal - To stave off some sideways creatures against aggro, or blow out a bogles player by taking away their Ancestral Mask at instant speed.

Tormod's Crypt - Hosing graveyard strategies is a bit mandatory. Decided against Relic of Progenitus because high price tags turn people off and and with an abundance of cards with Rush of Knowledge, throwing out a 0-mana Crypt can be a good defense that allows cards to not be stranded in our hand.

At the cheap cost of around 23.5 US dollars, this deck is my favorite deck and is surprisingly consistent, powerful, fun, and ridiculous for its price and I recommend it to everyone. Feedback on the deck wither it be recommendations for cuts, replacements, or anything else would be greatly appreciated. This is my favorite contribution to the best format with the best community!

-1 Preordain +1 Fierce Empath

A lot of times i find myself top-decking in the late game, and Fierce Empath can help plus just being a great toolbox card that is very flexible based on your situation.
